I think I remember that argument... they were calling gas grenades "pyrotechnic devices" because they get hot. I'm not sure if I agree with that definition.

At any rate, a gas grenade that gets hot <> a flame thrower.

Enough heat causes combustion. Also never said the grenades kicked the fire. I'm saying if they're lying in this instance, and they've been caught lying in other instances (shit, does the gov't ever not lie), and they've done a fine job of eliminating any possibility of forensic confirmation or rebuttal, I'm inclined to believe they're lying in this one.

Manifesto of crazy.
Now that I had confirmed it, I told XXXX not to use that word again. I explained that it was a well-known offensive word that should not be used by anyone. He replied, “I’ll say it when I want”.

Officer XXXX, a friend of his, also stated that he would say nigger when he wanted. At that point I jumped over my front passenger seat and two other officers where I placed my hands around XXXXs’ neck and squeezed. I stated to XXXX, “Don’t fucking say that”. At that point there was pushing and shoving and we were separated by several other officers. What I should have done, was put a Winchester Ranger SXT 9mm 147 grain bullet in his skull and Officer XXXX’s skull. The Situation would have been resolved effective, immediately.

A gas grenade is a pyrotechnic device in almost exactly the same way that an iPhone battery is a pyrotechnic device, give or take a few degrees Fahrenheit.

Could be worse:
November car chase ended in a "full blown-out" firefight, with glass and bullets flying, according to Cleveland police officers who described for investigators the chaotic scene at the end of the deadly 25-minute pursuit.

But when the smoky haze -- caused by rapid fire of nearly 140 bullets in less than 30 seconds -- dissipated, it soon became clear that more than a dozen officers had been firing at one another across a middle school parking lot in East Cleveland.

It must have been pretty scary....
"I've never been more afraid in my life," said Officer Michael Brelo, who fired 49 shots that night. "I thought my partner and I were being shot and that we were going to be killed."

Brelo, according to his account, climbed onto the trunk and then the top of a zone car and reloaded his gun, firing rounds into the Malibu. An Iraq war veteran, Brelo said he saw "the suspects moving and I could not understand why they are still moving, shooting at us. Even through Iraq, I never fired my weapon. I never have been so afraid in my life."

But the perps had no gun...
Though investigators never located a gun, they could not rule out the possibility that the suspects had one at some point during the chase before entering the parking lot.

Investigators searched for evidence that a gun was tossed from the car, even using the Sheriff's Office Dive Team to search some waterways along the chase route.

Maybe they pointed their fingers and went "pew pew."

Well, you know what they say: guns don't kill people, cops kill people.

Goddamn. Were you shooting a Thompson submachine gun? How many reloads do you need?

I wonder if they've consider hiring men to be cops instead of scared little children?

Would probably be safer for everyone.

You'll also notice that Mr. Brelo, from thib's quote,
An Iraq war veteran, Brelo said...

Ah, so the army taught him to shoot.

Well shit, how were they supposed to know they made more than one of those? I'm also sure they were just trying to control the situation, by shooting at people guilty of the heinous crime of being similar to the dude the cops were looking for. Maybe L.A. will change its name to Keystone to fit with its police.

LA cops pay $4.2M to people they "mistakenly" opened fire on. Because over 100 bullet holes in your car is just an honest mistake. It's certainly not powertripping assholes taking a manhunt personally. Damn, I wonder what that $4.2M might have been used for if LAs "finest" could've kept their shit together.
