Finland and Norway also did major back tracking. Several nations, and the biggest names in the EU, already have policies blocking such care, like France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Of the 26 EU nations, only 12 have some form of gender affirming care offered to minors.
All the backtracking is due to recent studies all proving puberty blockers are super bad for children. Their effects aren't temporary and reversible.

The trans folks will argue it's socially constructed hate, but the proof that it isn't already exists. Go look at sales of chicks-with-dicks porn throughout the years. It has been a niche genre and remains so to this day. Porn is what people select in the privacy of their own homes. Social constructs don't have power there. (There have some, but it's limited.) Also, social constructs didn't exist in the decades prior when there was the niche, but no massive social push for it to be accepted as normal and no backlash against it.
