I've never understood the general hate they get. Anyway, they are still out touring and stuff, but what I wanted to post was this:

I generally liked their music. The lyrics were sometimes a little angsty and whiny. I think that's where the hate came from. And I'd actually describe it less as hate and more as ridicule for sounding like a moody teenager.
