Was listening to Liquid Metal the other night, a really hardcore metal station. The DJ was talking a bit between tracks, mentioning how it wasn't that long ago that people were accusing metal bands of hiding subliminal messages and things to try to subvert kids. "What the people making those accusations don't understand is that these bands are just writing about what they know. The song we just heard wasn't fictional, it was the terrible tragedy that happened down the street from their homes in Norway. This is the world we live in, these are the experiences they have had. Now... here's Cannibal Corpse with their song 'I Cum Blood.'"

I can't think of that band without thinking of the metal-faced assassin from Metalocalypse now.
