If you missed it, Star Trek released a new show they've been heavily promoting: Starfleet Academy. It is woke AF. There's a clip that has made the rounds that PARAMOUNT RELEASED THEMSELVES!!!!!! and...well...it didn't help sell the show. Here's a screenshot:
Don't they know that show already exists?
YouTuber Nerdrotic went live against the premiere of this new show. He didn't go live, but his stream did. Paramount had Star Trek and a brand show. Nerdrotic just had a Spock action figure sitting on a chair, nothing else.
Guess which one won in the ratings?
I agree with that article too. It's not just embarrassing, it's a referendum. Paramount needs to understand what other studios have also learned the hard way: The mythical "modern audience" doesn't exist.
