I remember when people with pre-existing conditions getting "insurance" to protect them financially against the possibility they would get a condition was a huge selling point of Obamacare.
Well they can go fuck themselves too, according to the law.

Some say ObamaCare hoped to do better on that problem but ran out of time. Matthew Eyles of Avalare Health, a consulting firm, says although officials wanted "to be able to make sure that all the systems were operational in 2014, they realized that they needed to give an extra year to get those systems changes in place."
Officials intend to try again next year.
It'll certainly be much easier to deal with the problem after the patients involved have gone without medication for a year and died.

White House report: Obama is FDR II.
President Barack Obama marked the five-year anniversary of a controversial economic stimulus plan by releasing a report on Monday saying that government spending averted a second Great Depression, setting off a new round of partisan debate about the decision.
I assume they'll be raising the ceiling in Oval Office to accommodate his massive ego.

FDR's New Deal programs didn't stop the Great Depression, the entry of the US in WW2 did.

Because you're not watched enough.
A database would be constructed from license-plate readers employed by both local police and commercial companies using cameras that capture photos of vehicles. With a national database, DHS agents would be able to compare license plate information against a “hot list” that tracks wanted individuals. The system would help the agency locate fugitive illegal immigrants.
The database “could only be accessed in conjunction with ongoing criminal investigations or to locate wanted individuals,” Gillian Christensen, a spokeswoman for DHS’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE), told the Post.
Rot in hell, you lying bureaucrat.

Minimum wage hike thoughts. CBO says -500K overall jobs. B. Rock says:
A number of economists from the White House and beyond criticized the estimate, saying the best research suggests job losses could be negligible, even zero.
Bull the fuck shit.

It's easy to do math like "higher wages = fewer jobs." It's harder to figure out the secondary and network effects. Will minimum wage people making more money mean more other jobs?
So the CBO just came up with a wild ass guess of 0 to 1 million, and then picked the midpoint as it's estimate. It doesn't know.

The net effect of changing the minimum wage will indeed be zero jobs lost.
There will quite a few jobs lost in the US, but it will be offset by the new jobs created overseas in lower-wage countries.

Brutal anti-Obamacare ad.

Can you imagine the "vetting" she is going to receive from the government?

Update to this:
Yep, she got "vetted," and the politician sicced his lawyers on the TV stations running the ad.
The Washington Examiner notes that Rep. Gary Peters, D, the target of this ad (who is running for Senate this year), is having his attorneys go after the television stations running the ad on the grounds that the precise situation with her insurance is unclear and her claims here are debatable. It appears that after a period of uncertainty and difficulties navigating the HealthCare.gov website, she did eventually get insurance, and although the precise figures are unknown (even to the woman in the ad, apparently), it may cost her roughly the same amount per year. - See more at: ]http://www.conservativeintel.com/2014....]

Obama wants to spend more $ we don't have.
Obama will propose using $150 billion in “one-time transition revenue from pro-growth business tax reform” to help shore up the next transportation bill, the White House said. It didn’t detail what the reform would consist of.
Magic tax fairy dust!

That reminds me of the Dilbert strip where they're playing executive buzzword bingo during a meeting.
Hah.

I thought Harry Reid already set shit on fire yesterday when he called people who claimed to have bad experiences with Obamacare "liars."

When our elected officials are this clueless and/or dishonest, there's really no hope for the existing system.

I'm starting to think Reid has some sort of mental/emotional disorder. Not being funny, I think there really is something wrong with him. He reminds me of my grandmother when dementia started to set in. She'd say something off the wall and was then unable to have any sort of rational discussion about what she'd just said. She wouldn't back down from it, but she couldn't explain it.

This is why I'm in favor of Terminal Limits.
Not just term limits, but after two terms you are terminated. Thank you for your service, and you will be remembered as honorable, yadda yadda.
