Played three ranked TT games last night. Won 2, lost 1.

First game was against a very aggressive team. They kicked our butts early on, and then continued to be aggressive when they should have dialed it back. I thought their team fights got pretty crappy towards late game.

Second game we were kicking butt, and then lost out of nowhere. The enemy was carried by a Malzahar that we simply weren't countering correctly. the big turning point came when we lost track of them, and Cake and Gordo went all the way through the jungle to gank Malzahar at bot. All of a sudden their whole team appeared on the map pushing our bot turret. Cake and Gordo started running back, while I wasn't going to be able to do much to stop the baddies alone. By the time my team returned, we had lost two turrets and an inhibitor. What should have happened is one of two things:
1. Cake and Gordo recall instead of running back. They would have been there in time to save a turret and inhib.
2. Cake and Gordo push. They were right in front of the enemy base. Granted, they had no minions, but there was no turret. Go kill the inhib, which would've spawned super minions to help me defend, and Gordo could tank their nexus turret. They would have had to rush, and hopefully gotten sloppy, or recall and stop their push...

However, we did learn from that in the third game because we dominated, and did the same super fast push that beat us the last game.

I think all three games were VERY close. At no point did I feel like we were dominating. I didn't feel dominated either. All three games came down to who made the most mistakes.

I think I only want to play ranked any more. We SHOULD be put up against people at our skill level instead of facing people that are way worse or way better. It seemed like it was working last night. Again, all three games were very close, in my opinion. I also like the added importance of the game.

I do. Normal play is getting boring. We've been working for over a year to get to ranked play. Since the stakes are higher, I find myself playing better and the wins more enjoyable, if not more exciting.

We should sign up.

Granted, we don't have 5 players. But maybe there's one for TT, or, we can actually start recruiting. Start playing in something that matters and the motivation to find good players will increase. Looks free to join and there's a small prize for winning.

Oops. It's a tournament. There are a bunch of little ones you can enter. You win RP. Some are really small, winner take all. Some are bigger and pay out top 5. But over all, they are all small. I've only looked at a few and the top prize has been $20 RP to each of the 5 players on the winning team.

So, it's not a living. . . but it would be fun.

We discussed this a while back... "Pentakills" are tracked in your ranked stats. FYI.

The new TT is not being well received...

The forums are exploding with hate for it. I've seen more than one person refer to it as 3v3 Dominion.

Speaking of ranked matches: are we keeping up on buying the new OP characters? I'm surprised Singed is still getting banned in most games, when there are so many other new, OP champs out there. I was thinking that if we aren't buying them, then they don't appear in the "ban" screens, so they ban Singed instead.

Based on the early feedback, we may be done with TT.

Go sign the petition to keep both maps. It's is now an "official" thread, so apparently Riot is watching.

My comment is on page 159.

Made a new friend last night!!

Played a ranked game later and our team did really well. One of the players tried to friend the team so we could play again. I was the only one that accepted, or, I was the one he wanted to play with since you could only do Duo. Anyway, we played another game. This game did not go well. We were getting beat and pushed pretty hard. But he never gave up. In fact, at one point, he tried to rally the troops and said we could still do this. But our Karthus was a train wreck and completely worthless and feeding. So in the end, we could not. Point is, no trash talk, didn't give up, spam surrender, etc. HOWEVER, we played a TT after that and he did have a negative thing to say, but it wasn't trashy demeaning kind of thing. Anyway, he's someone I'd play with again. OH, and the game we won, he accidentally picked Urgot as a tank. In a ranked game. He had a slow start, but then rocked things later on. WELL played champ that he didn't mean to pick. Unless he was just kidding, meant to pick him, is an expert, etc. But in any case, played much to our play style. Turtle till strong then win.

I have not bought all OP champs. Only so much IP. . . but I have Darius and Rengar. I can buy another when we find it.
