I would love to say I can't believe people are dumb enough to pay for this shit, but unfortunately, I know people are dumb enough to pay for this shit.
To the people saying Mayweather ruined his credibility, I'd love for them to explain how they thought he had credibility in the first place.

I would link this, but ESPN doesn't make it easy...
Go look up the interview with Shawn Porter's dad after Porter lost the fight last night. (I didn't watch the fight, but saw the headline on the interview and watched that.)
Wow.
Porter's dad is apparently his trainer and corner man. His dad also gives no fucks and publicly rips his son's efforts prepping for this fight.
This is a big win for Netflix. No way this fight doesn't get them a boatload of new subscribers. Yeah, it's a clown show having a 20-something fight a man in his 50s, but it's Mike fucking Tyson.
I hope Tyson knocks his ass out.

Holy shit. Tyson is 58. There's no way. . . But ya. Here's to hoping.
I'm rooting for Tyson to KO Paul, so these side show fights can end.

I too would like to see the GenXer lay out the zoomer.
For no particular reason.

This has clearly been a first time for Netflix. Lots of connectivity issues.
The hosts of the event aren't awesome. Definitely a far cry from the heyday of boxing. Cursing. They've had technical issues too. Most glaring when they had Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield guesting at the booth. Evander's earpiece didn't work, and perhaps that was good because...well, boxing takes a toll...
The lead announcer, Mauro Ranallo, is pretty awesome. For some unknown reason, Rosie fucking Perez is also on the announce team. I guess she's a huge boxing fan?
The first fight was two actors or maybe an actor and a YouTuber. It was very forgettable.
The second fight was real boxers and was pretty damn good. The long shot underdog was thisclose to knocking off the heavily favored champ. Both went down during the fight.
Between this fight and the third Mike was interviewed by his kid. It was a nice moment. Mike gave him a kiss at the end and told him he loved him. He then walked back to his locker and the inexperienced filming crew gave a full body shot. Mike was wearing a jock strap and nothing else so the whole world got a shot of his ass.
The third fight was two women and was a bloody war. One had a bloody nose. The other had one of the most hellacious cuts under her eyebrow. I swear when they were working on it in the corner you could see bone. Caused by a headbutt, not a punch. The women were trading shots like a Rocky movie, but with a lot less power. Absolutely worth watching, and in true boxing fashion the wrong person won on decision. The loser was getting sympathy from the crowd, but her manager was complaining endlessly and I think was starting to turn the crowd against her.
