Well done, NC: you managed to get 1 person enrolled in Obamacare, so far.

Not quite:
But even that single person has not paid, which means the enrollment is not complete.

Obama unaware of state of US vets.
Mr. Obama promised to keep providing "unprecedented support" to veterans -- improving veterans' health care, reducing claims backlogs and providing them with access to education -- "even as we make difficult fiscal choices as a nation."

Right. That's why US VA hospital care is second to none, provided you're only comparing them to third-world nations.

Fewer than 27k have gotten to the point in Obamacare where they have actually picked a plan.

http://www.nationaljournal.com/health-....0131113

I bet all of those were the "young healthies" they need to fund everybody elses medical costs, and not the poor and people with preexisting conditions that have been trying the hardest to get enrolled. I bet the system will not be bankrupt at all. Huge success. Racist.

Fucking wow.
President Obama announced Thursday an administrative change in one of the bedrock ideas of the new health-care law, allowing insurers to continue offering individual insurance plans for another year even if they do not comply with the law’s rules for minimum benefits.

So... he's removed his lie... for 1 year.

And apparently is king since he's just willy nilly making changes to laws.

Our company president sent out a scathing letter to employees about Obamacare this week. It's 7 paragraphs about how incompetent this administration is, and how the company will not cave in to save a buck, and will continue to pay for our medical insurance.

Nice.

The United States is formally in an ongoing limited state of emergency declared by several Presidents for several reasons.

Why break tradition?

I generally don't like politics coming from my workplace. If the past decade or so hasn't convinced you DC is run by fucktards, I'm not sure what will.

I can't really complain. This particular statement is saving me money, and keeping my family on a good insurance plan rather than Obamacare.

I also agree with my current employers on their stance towards unions: "We will fire you and close our doors immediately."

The prayers during company events are a bit awkward though.

That would irk the fuck out of me.

Firstly, more from Obama's WTF whirlwind speeches today...
Mr. Obama conceded to CBS News chief White House correspondent Major Garrett, "My expectation was that for 98 percent of the American people, either it genuinely wouldn't change at all or they'd be pleasantly surprised with the options in the marketplace and that the grandfather clause would cover the rest. That proved not to be the case. And that's on me. And the American people -- those who got cancellation notices do deserve and have received an apology from me."

Whew. An apology. I'm sure that makes their health care problems go away for another twelve months. I sure as shit didn't hear that 98% figure from before. I heard 100%.

Just lower your head and think about sports. It's what I do.

As Winston Zeddmore once said, "If there's a steady paycheck in it, I'll believe anything you say."

I don't know what the amount of cash is that you'd have to pay to silence the part of my brain that screams out during forced processes of ritualized belief, but I'm betting it's higher than any salary I'll ever command.

I would make it a point to annoy them during such things. Like wearing a shirt covered with Egyptian hieroglyphs and imagery with the line, "Osiris, the original messiah that rose from the dead."

Yeah, I completely disagree.

Let's take away the fact that these are really good people, running a very successful company, paying you a great salary, ensuring you have amazing benefits, and that they treat you like family. Let's just focus on you being at a company event, and having to listen to someone make a prayer for 30 seconds. What happened in your life that you can't just take your mind somewhere else for a moment? Where's the win in trying to insult them or act out during the prayer?

They're not trying to convert me, they're following their belief system to give thanks and ask for continuing success.

I think I can handle that for a few seconds over pissing people off and collecting my severance check.

I just stare straight ahead and wait patiently.

But it feels weird watching people praying at work, especially since I work for a government institution.

Find it pretty goddamned convenient how this all comes out after a minor election cycle went through.

And pretty convenient how he delays the lie of "if you like it/you can keep it" until after the NEXT minor election cycle. More dems will keep their seats in 2014, and THEN everyone loses their affordable insurance.
