Paul George opts out.

They're saying he might resign with the Thunder still. I guess everything right now hinges on the Lakers-Spurs trade. If the Spurs are smart, they wait until George or Lebron sign to another team than the Lakers. If they trade Leonard now, I think that will make the dominoes fall and the Lakers will end up with all three.

Two things to not be surprised by:

-Nobody goes anywhere and Lebron, George and Leonard all stay with their current teams and they all revisit this next year.

-Don't rule out Boston getting Leonard, they have the trade pieces that the Spurs covet the most.

I do not want this to happen.

Granted, the Celtics have excess resources and can waste some, but I think Leonard is probably a cancer. (Or surrounds himself with shitheads.)

Durant stays with Warriors.

Chris Paul stays with Rockets.

In the biggest news, Paul George stays with OKC.

If Lebron wants to form a super team in LA, he just lost George and Paul as options. That leaves only Leonard as a potential teammate and he isn't a free agent. He has to be acquired via trade, and the Lakers are trying to make that happen, but they don't have the pieces San Antonio wants.

The odds of Lebron staying in Cleveland had to go up.

Although, the Lakers are now apparently targeting Demarcus Cousins who Lebron loves.

James' reps meeting with 76ers in LA.

I have a feeling the Lakers are out of the running unless they manage to get Leonard.

I think Lebron is too smart to go to a rebuilding team (and too much of a bitch). I think Philly is very much in play.

If I were him, I'd want to stay in the East, so I could coast more.

Well, now the question is who's joining him?

Stephenson and McGee.

Also, word is that Leonard now REALLY wants to go to LA and might be threatening sitting out next year. Meanwhile, the Lakers might be willing to offer a ton to get Leonard now that Lebron is signed.

The Lakers were a 35-win team last season, finishing 12 games out of the playoffs. Yet when sportsbooks posted opening odds for next season, the Lakers were installed at 20-1, better than the Cleveland Cavaliers, who opened at 30-1.

The Westgate on Sunday adjusted Cleveland's odds to 500-1, the same as the Brooklyn Nets and Sacramento Kings.
Lakers are now 7-2 to win it all.

They have the same odds as the Celtics. Only the Warriors have better odds.

Got to admit, it'd be pretty funny if the Cavs somehow won it all this year.

can't say i'm not a little disappointed to see him leave, but i'm not completely upset either.

But unless the Lakers get Leonard i don't really see that team being much better than the Cavs so its not really that much of an upgrade.

Good luck Lebron, 2016 was a magical year and in the end that's all that we really wanted.

Lebron banner coming down again.

I wonder if he'll retire a Cav?
