Because the UN and WHO have been spewing that bullshit since post-WWII when the collective testicular military might of the West gave way to pussy hippie Marxism.

This is who voted for Obama, and why the Republicans could give every $1000, cure cancer, kill all evil, and still lose.

They've been doing a spectacular job of killing their image for decades now. They're hardly blameless for the hole they find themselves in.

Because we don't have a 3rd choice.

There's always a third choice. I can think of a couple:

1) not voting at all
2) not voting for a donkey or pachyderm unless they've proven their sanity ... which is kind of impossible but I'll at least allow for the possibility
3) somehow turn bot nets against Congress and bomb their social media accounts with repeated messages about how much they suck

The real problem is, of course, no one can actually tell what legislation is going to do because the language is so densely and hastily constructed that goddamn near any interpretation becomes valid or invalid, depending upon what old-ass, mummy dick-sucking, greedy, pandering, partisan asshole is making the call that particular day. Furthermore, unless you hold someone at gunpoint and shove the results in front of their eyes, no one bothers to check voting or role call records, either. Want to fix the gov't and election process? Find a way to marshal the citizens that could vote but don't. I've not seen a major shift in the standard party demographics for a long, long time now, and I'm unconvinced "swing" voters exist anymore.

I don't think any of what you said has a chance of making a difference, as the chance of any of it succeeding is so low it might as well be zero. There is no 3rd option.... unless you count armed overthrow an option. That really is the only way anything will change.

I will not vote for anyone simply because they're the lesser of two evils. The world is not fucking binary.

Nah. It's just a marathon up a steep incline of ice. Much as I disagree with Bill Mahr on a great many economic things, he had a great suggestion that politicians should wear patches with the corporate logos of their sponsors, just like NASCAR racers. C'mon, that shit ought to be a law on the hilarity potential alone.

But they wont do that.

There are lots of ways we could make politicians more honest through the passage of laws, but who passes the laws?

There is no 3rd option. They run the game and they make the rules.

Bah, that's exactly what they want you to think. You've already let them win.

There are plenty of 3rd party options, and any one of them would sweep the next elections if everyone that believed the Rep & Dem "no 3rd option" bullshit turned up to vote for them.

Refuse to not vote, and refuse to vote for the "lesser evil". If you do either of those things you are doing exactly what the assholes in power want you to do. Find yourself some insane 3rd party candidate and vote for them instead. If your ballot doesn't have any 3rd party candidates showing up on it, then if you give a crap about your country then maybe you should be that crazy 3rd party candidate yourself next time around.

Given the leaders this country has put in place, no, I don't.

Spin on.
"Nobody's madder than me about the website not working as well as it should, which means it's going to get fixed," Obama said without specifying exactly what went wrong or who was to blame.

Yep, because I'm sure it prevented you from signing up for health care.

At the same time, he argued that the health insurance available through the 2010 Affordable Care Act provided Americans previously unable to get coverage with the security of knowing that an accident or illness wouldn't bankrupt them.

Yeah, they can be bankrupted through other means like wasteful, inefficient government spending.

Initial difficulties have started to ease for logging on to the website for the new exchanges, some of which are run by states and others by the federal government. Now problems are occurring further along the process, with insurance industry sources having said they are getting some applications with missing information.

You can't run a website, but a national health care system -- you got that shit, no problem.

I dare any US artist to do this in DC.

I'm sure they'd be taken down for being a terrorist if they tried.

I just read Little Brother by Cory Doctorow. Everyone who hates the TSA and Homeland Security should read it.

I've heard the number of people enrolled is an absolute joke. I've heard as low as 38,000 to 176,000.

Totally worth crippling our economy.

I've heard that the problem is this: healthy people who can take or leave Obamacare are trying once to enroll, then giving up. Sick people who need shitloads of money for medical bills are highly motivated to keep trying to sign up. Obamacare is signing up the people who need the free money, and not the people who will be paying the free money.
