UPDATE: John Sexton noticed that the quotes being pulled from an article published last week about Buffett and Obamacare came from a March 1 Politico story. It appears that Buffett was opposing ObamaCare before it was passed.
So did Buffett.

He's talking like that because he's gotten very very popular talking like that.
That's John Green, he and his brother Hank produce lots of videos ranging from their Vlogbrothers 2.0 stuff (like this one) to a variety of educational channels (topics ranging from Chemistry to Biology to Museums to History to Literature, each with either it's own channel or a very long series of weekly videos dedicated to the topic) as well as a 100-week weekly production of Pride and Prejudice. I watch a lot of YouTube, and they directly or indirectly produce about 1/4 of the best of it. They've raised a lot of money every year for charity as well (not quite up to Child's Play levels, but give them a couple of years more). [EDIT to add: They also started VidCon together, and Hank invented 2D glasses as well as creating a music production house and a t-shirt company. I keep thinking of other things to mention so I'll stop here, but they produce a lot of content and products and are annoyingly successful.]
John's also a very good "young adult" author and wrote some great books that are classified as "young adult" but are actually just good. Only JK Rowling has done more to inspire young adults to read books for fun in the past decade.
On the whole, I sincerely recommend anything John and/or Hank as done, as the odds are it is probably very good.
EDIT: Unless it's politics, they're both fairly liberal and sometimes silly liberals. But even then they'll be more clear thinking about it than most silly liberals.

"They're focused on politics, they're focused on trying to mess with me," Obama told a crowd at a Ford plant in Kansas City. "They're not focused on you."
Douche. A rather self-important one at that.

Love how they are shifting the full blame to the Republicans in that article. They go out of their way to mention Obamacare or that Dems passed this piece of shit law, but almost immediately say if children go uninsured, it would be House Republicans' fault.

[Twenty-five-year-old Steven] Binko is one of 2.7 million healthy 18- to 34-year-olds, dubbed the young invincibles, that the Obama administration has said are needed in the exchanges to offset the cost of providing care for millions of other uninsured people who are likely to be older and sicker. Without young adults, who pay for insurance yet rarely use it, premium costs in the exchanges may soar. . . .
The challenge is how do you make young people see the value of having insurance at a time in their lives when they are least likely to use it and least capable of affording it.
Quote of the decade, right there.

Fuck my work-provided health insurance. It's enough to make me think of shopping around again.

I thought they already answered this. You make it mandatory and force them to pay for it whether they can afford it or not upon threat of official governmental use of force.

I don't even know how it works any more. My mother, a tax accountant, says Obamacare is the best thing ever and is good for everyone (also democrat). I guess I will see how things go next spring when I do my taxes.

Your mom is beyond brainwashed. Hell, even Warren Buffet, who might know more about finances than your mother, says Obamacare is a piece of shit, and he's Obama's friend!

Tempers and rhetoric were heated on Friday as Democrats accused their Republican colleagues of playing with legislative fire.
"We are at one of the most dangerous points in our history right now -- every bit as dangerous as the break-up of the Union before the Civil War," said Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa.
You're an alarmist douchebag, Tom. Then again, I understand time actually moves slower through Iowa due to the increased density of nothingness there, maintaining a miasma of sheer boredom with a trademark slow motion, quicksand-like temporal quality.

"I [Senator Dick "Head" Durbin] fully support that (debate), but let's sit down in a bipartisan and calm way, not with the prospect of shutting down the government or shutting down the economy," he said.
Dick Durbin says he supports debate. He also supports SOPA and COICA (Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act). Let's also remember what he said to get elected to the post he's decomposed in for two plus decades ...
Durbin's campaign emphasized unemployment and financial difficulties facing farmers, and told voters that electing him would send "a message to Washington and to President Reagan that our economic policies are not working."
Nothing bipartisan there.
