Lori Mullins, director of operations at Rogers & Brown Custom Brokers, stressed that the decision does not grant or guarantee refunds. “They have remanded this back down to the lower courts to decide if refunds will be issued. Without knowing for certain, many believe that the refunds will not be issued retrospectively,” she said. This will also get a lot of play before the midterms and 2028 general. Credit where it's due, he played them and got exactly what he wanted.
And every single person that remained sitting basically broke their oath. I realize what they did was mandated by their party, but that's the problem. They (and I say "they" as BOTH parties) have firmly put party over country.
Honestly, this theatrical, divisive horseshit that both sides engage in during SotU speeches needs to go. Respect the fucking office. You don't boo. You don't give the finger. You don't make it a point to roll your eyes back as dramatically as possible knowing you're on camera. You don't tear up the script. Etc.
The more this shit goes on, the more likely it becomes that blood will be shed because of it.
If you cannot sit and listen to POTUS for a speech without acting like a fool, then you're a part of the problem. If we culled all the people who bought into the theatrics, the world would be a better place. Prove me wrong.
