I highly doubt I ever will. I'm not poo-pooing the "hot thing", I just haven't had any interest in what I've seen of the series.
Call me when they make some "Encyclopedia Brown" movies.
I went to the first movie expecting to be underwhelmed. Though I haven't caught "the fever", I've found the movies much more entertaining than I expecting. Even with all the ideas that were lifted from other places, the characters are interesting enough to keep them afloat.

The movies aren't very good. As usual with these sort of things, the books are much better. There's a lot more story in each one than they can cram into two (or three) hours.
Not that they're great literature. But they're a good fun read.

Exactly. I never thought they would be anger-inducing.

Someone told me about them 7 years ago... I think only the first two were out then. They raved about them like they were the best books EVER.
I read 70-80 pages into the first and thought "this is a kid's book... and not a very well-written/exciting one at that" and never read them again. Admittedly, my expectations were set way too high.

				Admins,
Can't we just start an HP thread somewhere instead of cluttering up an images thread with all this talking?
Thank you.

The moment someone does that, everyone will stop posting about it.

I posted the first response on her blog.
Hilarious! I had missed you saying that before I went to see her page and when I saw the comment I said to myself "I wonder if Paul wrote that because it's fantastic."
We'll have to monitor her page to see if she responds.

She responded to my request with a link to an Eleanor Roosevelt MySpace page. I responded with something like: Necrophilia is *hott* but I wanted something a little less skeleton-like. Unless of course it's that *hott* pro anorexia site. I visit that site repeatedly, until I chafe.
