I respect that. My values are the same.

Although, if we were talking adults, my answer would change.

I see Trump thinks the economy is "A Plus".

I wonder if all of these asshats would change their tune if they tried living on an average person's salary for 1 month in an average American city?

I really am so sick and tired of hearing how awesome the economy is when the reality is obvious. And not saying it's horrendous, but "A Plus"? I know it's exceptionally hard for you, but try humility sometimes.

I would have accepted anything in the "C range".

Even if you truly believed it was an A+, just say: "I'd give it a C. We're making some good moves and see progress, but we know we have a long way to go. Houses still aren't selling, a lot of people are struggling with groceries, we're losing some private sector jobs to AI, and so on. Until the American Dream is achievable for the average family working a standard work week, then there's still more that needs to be done."

This isn't rocket science. I wrote this whole post in 2 minutes, and you're telling me professionals at the WH cannot come up with something like this when that's all they do each and every day? I even threw in a comment deflecting job losses.

I'm telling you, if I wouldn't clearly spend all day diddling starlets, I'd be such a great president. :D

Trump's a moron.

I'd love to see them try. But it has to be more than 1 month.

I'd give it a B-, +/-. Mostly as so many tariffs got postponed. If they hit, we'll be in the Cs quick.

Almost no one rates this economy as an A+ though. I bet it certainly is for some # of people. It's been good to me this year.

Have you really ever looked at the numbers of how well off we all are compared to the rest of the world? I do try to keep things in perspective. I know I'm doing well. Better than probably 95% of the world. I'm not Catt rich :D , but I'm not paycheck to paycheck.

However, that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to point out bullshit. Trump and Biden both talk(ed) out of their asses when it came to how affordable life is for the average person/family. I think most politicians have no concept. How can they? They don't live it. They're rich, and even if they weren't, they have people lining up to give them free shit.

I truly, truly do think that the typical indicators are broken, and we're reaching a tipping point. The fruit (consumers/taxpayers) has been juiced almost to its limit. Throw in all the social justice horseshit, immigration, new frauds being uncovered daily, racism, etc. and I think the pot...she's a boilin'...

3 months, in my mind. Get to know the trade-offs, the sacrifices.

Hard to find good data, but I always hear that being American alone puts you into the top 10% if you're working. But I couldn't find a good calculator.

Yeah. And either Trump is making shit up, or people are feeding him bullshit.

This is one area where I do genuinely give him (and other uber rich folks) a bit of a pass. Is he a liar? Duh. However, you know his inner circle is just ass kisser after ass kisser. He never hears the word "no" or bad news. Give him one person that would tell him the truth and I wonder how much it would change his policies and his words? I think the same of Elon, Gates (it'd have to be a kid...), Soros, etc.

It's more blatantly obvious in Hollywood where celebs bandwagon what they believe is popular only to backtrack when they realize they've been let astray. Jennifer Lawrence's interview earlier this year is the latest example I can give.

Still, none of them get a full pass. Have a fucking brain and realize everyone around you is probably lying to you to avoid losing favor. Nobody is ALWAYS right.

Powell said the model has probably overstated jobs by about 60,000 per month since April. With job growth averaging just shy of 40,000 in that period, an overstatement that size would equate to payroll losses of about 20,000 per month.
https://www.cnbc.com/2025/12/11/case-fo ... -jobs.html

that would help explain the discrepancies between the federal numbers and the ADP private payroll numbers.

I saw murmurs that Microsoft might be doing some layoffs soon as CoPilot isn't doing as well as they'd like, which is another indicator that consumers are stupid.

Gemini is one step above Siri in stupidity.

Giving the devil his due:

Moving to block funding for any hospitals/doctors who provide gender swap treatment for children.

Good. All studies are proving this "gender care" is super bad, irreversible, and has done exactly SHIT in reducing the suicide rate among gender confused kids.

Signs EO moving pot from a Schedule I to a Schedule III.

Now allow it to be sold in all 50 states (approved places only is fine) to continue to reduce the price, and then put a small tax on it to make money. Can't be too big or it makes street weed more profitable again.

White House posts their false narrative about Jan 6th.

Ds and their propaganda outlets are livid and telling anyone who will listen that it's all lies.

We will never know the real truth behind that day. The Rs are sticking to their story, the Ds are sticking to theirs, and selected evidence (nowhere near "all", but the stuff that was definitely raises eyebrows) being deleted means the truth will be forever lost to time. Anyone saying "THIS is what happened" it just telling you what they want you to believe.

The only thing I know for sure is that both sides are repeating lies that the investigative committee proved to be false, once again confirming to me that both sides are full of shit.

We know the truth. Trump goaded the people into storming the Capitol and assaulting more than 100 officers. Criminals
