I get that last one, strangely enough. Pretty obscure.

Unless Japan is invading Israel, I do not get it.

Ah... so I was close, got it. I understood it as wailing, did not make the whaling connection... though that makes the harpoons make more sense now.

I've actually been to the Wailing Wall. No big deal.

I had it the other way around, I got whaling and wondered what that had to do with the wall between Isreal and the <s>Pakistanis</s> Palestinians. I forgot that the wailing wall has a thing.

EDIT because Pakistan is not Palestine. I r dumbs.

That last one was so stupid that at first I didn't get it.

Not the pic itself that was stupid.... the person who said that thing. Assuming he was sincere.

The younger kids these days will have never seen a floppy disk. To them it is just a save button.

It's just ignorance. I know about buggy whips.

My 9yo has held in his hands both 3.5" and 5.25" floppies.

You're still promoting ignorance.

What about tape? Has he held tape? Has he held a tape player from the 80s? What about the first hard drive?

He's held a cassette. He's held vinyl. I don't have an 8 inch floppy to show him, but he knows it existed.

Holy shit, I just remembered I have some 4gb data tapes I can show him.

At any rate, I don't want to know the adult retard who just thinks that's the "save button."

Yesterday we were talking about his reading level and I mentioned that he burned through all the Harry Potter books at 8, and "that's about 4,000 pages." He immediately said, "4080. I counted."

My little Rainman is going to be "save button's" boss someday.
