He gets the car in, but then can't get it back out when he's reversing slowly, so he guns it. Probably just some place normally blocked off.

Yeah. He kept giving it more and more power each time. You also see where it cuts near the end, right before he 180s his car around the wrong axis of rotation? Bet that's him realizing he can't gently back out and trying to lift the bar on the plastic sheet himself and failing miserably like a anorexic tween, hence the no-show. If they could lift it themselves, they wouldn't need a car to barrel through it. Problem is the door literally doesn't swing both ways.
Either that or he's trying to make his car do a near vertical stand on its grill and he fucks up royally.
