Here's the cop that was killed.

It's too bad CNN has so many headlines devoted opinion articles about anti-Trump stuff and can't fit this story in anywhere. Seems relevant for some reason.

I am shocked that it's not front page news on Fox News?

I checked their page and they have lots of articles about the looting going on, which CNN is also conveniently not really covering with front page stuff. In fact, they currently don't have a single story about looting, just one video story about a son discussing how his dad's business was burnt down and now he has no income.

Nothing screams justice like burning down a small business that has nothing to do with what you're protesting.

In related news, if I hear about looters being shot and/or killed. I assure you that I'm not going to give two shits. Thieving scum.

New video released of Floyd arrest.

Nothing shocking it seems, but a very interesting detail is buried within:
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's autopsy "revealed no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation," according to the complaint.

On Friday, attorneys for Floyd's family announced they were going to conduct an independent autopsy.
The murder charge is going to end up getting dropped. It's going to be manslaughter or negligent homicide.

Pretty sure Trump has already given a statement. Like the day after. Didn't he send the feds in to investigate the cops?

Seriously, correct me if I'm wrong.

Sure, everything since has been tactless threats and insults, but give him credit for having already said something. :D

Completely irrelevant numbers:
Number of people shot to death by the police in the United States from 2017 to 2020, by RACE
2017 2018 2019 2020
White 457 399 370 42
Black 223 209 235 31
Hispc 179 148 158 13

These numbers are actually shocking to me for a few reasons:
1. WAY lower than I thought they would be based on how people talk about the police.
2. Whitey, based on percentage of population, should be at the top.
3. All numbers seem to be crazy down this year, but C-19 probably helps. Let's see what happens this summer.
4. Hispanics are double the population of blacks in the U.S. - So why are their numbers so low?

16% Hispanic, 12% Black, according to Google.

Independent ME says asphyxia .
An independent autopsy ordered by George Floyd's family found his death was a "homicide caused by asphyxia due to neck and back compression that led to a lack of blood flow to the brain," according to early findings from the examination released Monday.

Floyd was apprehended by police officers in Minneapolis, Minnesota, last Monday, and one of the officers pinned his knee to Floyd's neck as Floyd called out that he couldn't breathe.

The independent examiners found that weight on Floyd's back, the handcuffs and the positioning were contributory factors because they impaired the ability of Floyd's diaphragm to function. The report concluded that Floyd, 46, died at the scene.

I'd like to see the original county coroner charged with incompetence and/or corruption. And then find out who leaned on him/her.

I legit thought they were around 22-23%. Maybe Google's stats don't include illegals? Still doesn't explain their lower numbers.

Serious questions:
How can an ME be called "independent" when they've been hired by the family? Has an ME hired by a family looking to sue ever come back with "Yeah, the other guy got it right"? Does the independent ME immediately override the official ME? Can the DOJ send in their ME to break the tie or would he/she be biased? Maybe bring in another ME from another country that has no dog in the fight? Is this discrepancy something so obvious that someone can prove it, and thus, Gordon's wish comes true? Because if so, I agree that he/she should face charges. The official coroner and Minnesota officials HAD to know the family would be bringing in their own ME. It's pretty much standard at this point. So why lie and risk everything IF it's obvious? Did the independent ME have the same access to the body or did he/she just go on the original coroner's report? Is the cause of death sketchy enough to be a judgment call?

In related news, protesters defaced monuments in DC.

And another thought on the coroner possibly lying for political purposes...

The other cops were 2 black guys and 1 Asian guy. Apparently there is another video out there that isn't making the rounds so well, but it's one referenced by officials on both sides that shows the actual resistance part. I've seen articles referencing one or more of the other officers also having their knees on George's neck. Are they protecting the minority officers? Are they trying to hide bad training?

It's my understanding that 3 cops were applying pressure to him, not just the neck guy. The other two were on his back.

If that's the case, they would be free and clear of charges.

JayZ gets a call with Minnesota's governor because selling albums makes you an expert on domestic politics?

Note that nowhere does JayZ mention ending the violence. A missed opportunity.

Back to the autopsy results...

BOTH MEs say it was a homicide.

Earlier reports must have erred. Where the MEs disagree is the cause of death.

The other cops are likely facing aiding and abetting charges.

Let's be honest, this is the most important thing that will come of this situation. It sends a message to all other cops that if they witness something they have to act or they will not only be fired, but can face charges themselves. This is extremely important in a job where someone has power that can be abused to the point of endangering a life.

It's a lesson the military learned in the 60s/70s. Now let's apply it to corporate America and politicians!

Police officers throughout the nation are being shot, hit with items, run over by cars, and so on.

So are store owners. Saw a small white woman beaten by two black guys, one with a large board. Another shop owner in Dallas has died at the hands of the protesters.

There was video of a protester being pinned down by a cop, with the cop's knee on his neck. Another cop moved the knee to the protester's back.

That certainly needs to stop.
