Here's an under the radar story: Worst case is that Derrick Rose is a rapist. Best case is he's got some issues with women.

The heavy, heavy favorite to win the NBA championship this year was destroyed at home by the Spurs in their first game. That was without Tim Duncan, and the way they won immediately showed how to beat Golden State: they can't rebound or protect the rim.

Meanwhile, the underdog and defending champs crushed the new look Knicks.

The Cavs' rings include a shot at Golden State.

Singer made that Sixers cancel her performance over jersey.

Her jersey said "we matter".

She has the freedom to wear that jersey. The Sixers have the freedom to not use her or hire her again.

No freedom of speech in Philly.

I had no idea a fan couldn't flip off a player. I had no idea Philadelphia knew that there was such a thing as bad behavior.

Da fuq? If people are getting thrown out for that, how are there people left in the stands?

The Golden State Warriors' weak link cannot shut his big mouth.

Draymond is emotionally unstable. Any team that wants to beat the Warriors simply has to attack him.

Meanwhile, Klay is not happy. Don't buy the hype on the Warriors this year.

In the NBA today, we learn Phil Jackson isn't a moron...
"We have tried to stop (marijuana use) in the NBA. I don't think we have been able to stop it. I think it still goes on and is still a part of the culture in the NBA. It is something that we either have to accommodate or figure out another way to deal with it," he said.
... and Earl Watson is.
In contrast, Phoenix Suns head coach Earl Watson has spoken out against the drug, saying it's "not cool" and can lead people to more serious narcotics.
Yeah ... like prescription pain meds I bet most trainers have access to.

Kevin Durant blasts the NBA.

I couldn't agree with him more. Whoever came up with this "report" is an asshole.

Cavs are getting better.

Dwight Howard has a really odd take on it:
Dwight Howard on the mood amongst the Hawks after learning of the reported trade of Kyle Korver to Cleveland: "I think guys are pretty hurt about it," Howard said. "On one hand, you're going to be happy for him going to a really good team. On the other hand, it's like, ‘Dang, he's going to a really good team.' I am curious to see what his handshake will be. A lot of those guys give really good handshakes. … Oh, man. It's just shocking, for all of us."
What in the fuck is he talking about?

I think he may have been high. I wish "Key and Peele" hadn't stopped. "NBA Handshakes" seems like a perfect sketch for them.

NBA allows players to vote for All Stars. Steve Kerr is shocked they "made a mockery of it".

Pro Tip: If you give players bonuses for making an All Star game and then let them vote on who gets in, that's probably not a great idea.

In addition, when you have massive egos banging bodies day in and day out, do you really think they're going to vote for players they don't like?
