Melo recruiting Durant.

Cavs GM has no plans to move anyone. I'll believe it when I see it. I think the Celtics will come calling for Love after missing on Butler.

Wade leaving Miami?

LeBron becomes a free agent. This was always expected due to the money that is available now and will be next year.

Barnes to the Sixers? What's interesting is Golden State wants him back IF they don't sign Durant. Does Barnes have an ego? If so, I have to imagine he leaves just to fuck over the Warriors. A winner wouldn't want to be someone's second option.

Terrible news for the NBA. It makes the league look like a joke. (More than it is already.) How many media outlets are already asking why the NBA will ever bother playing the next season? (Hint: A lot.)

I get why Durant chose GS, but honestly, his titles will be criticized nonstop. It's like beating up a kid in a wheelchair and declaring yourself heavyweight champ of the world.

KD's restaurant in OKC picks a bad day to promote itself.

And it's a chicken restaurant...hahahahaha

KD has bad advisers. We, literally, just watched this same scenario make LeBron the most hated man in sports, and KD went the same route.

As expected, Kevin Durant is now the most hated athlete in the NBA.

A website called "Black Sports Online" (because it's not racist to be proud of your skin color unless you're white...) has a report about someone digging up KD's old social media profile and how people are mocking it.

Remember when James went to Miami? Guess who was a vocal critic of the move? KD tweeted all about it.

Nick Wright, a guess host on The Herd, floated a scenario a few weeks back where KD could make the greatest move in the history of sports. Essentially, the GSW cannot sign KD until they have the free cap space. That means, Barnes has to sign elsewhere (he's been offered a max by Dallas), Festus Ezeli has to be moved, and Iguodala and/or Bogut has to be traded/released. Now imagine if GS gets all that done, and then KD says "Just Kidding" and resigns with OKC?

The odds of that being his intentions are less than zero, but it would be the single greatest moment in sports history that didn't take place in a game. Nobody has ever had a chance to completely cripple their competition, within the rules, like KD does right now.

I honestly feel a bit bad for KD. James left Cleveland because they weren't run well. The way he did it was a dick move, but I understood his thinking. However, OKC is well run. OKC was actually the favorite to win the title until KD made his choice. KD got sweet talked into "rings", which GS and all of its players will benefit from at the expense of KD. A part of this I'm sure they white washed. He was the biggest name in the NBA with the highest Q rating, and now that's gone. Now he's hated, but hey, he'll get a ring right? Because the narrative right now is that rings are everything.

Funny how nobody gave a shit about James' rings until he won one with Cleveland...

This news has been a blessing and curse for the NBA. People are talking NBA today, which is great for the league. Hell, I think it's one step above the WWE, yet I'm talking about it. However, once the regular season rolls around, the other shoe will drop. Unless some other team steps up, the finals will be GSW/Cavs, which will make the entire regular season pointless. If you're in one of the other NBA markets, do you give a fuck about tickets to your team's games this year knowing they have zero chance thanks to KD's move?

Meanwhile in Cleveland...

Wade to the Cavs "a done deal"?

ESPN is reporting the Heat offered Wade $40 million over 2 years, so it'll be interesting to see where he ends up. What's more important? Money or rings?

The way I see it, GS just got more offense. Not really sure that is what their problem was, didn't they already score at an unprecedented rate and efficiency last year? They were a team that could go 10 men deep and ALL of them were damn good at putting the ball in the bucket, how does that change with KD in there?

Sure they are one helluva dangerous team, but they lost depth and defense. I think losing Bogut will really hurt, not during the regular season but in the playoffs. When Bogut went out Cleveland had free will on the boards and getting to the rim, it won the series for the Cavs. Other teams will see that and surely try and exploit that.

In the end there is only one basketball on the court at a time and you will only get so many possessions a game. I'm not entirely sure that taking away three point shots from an already high shooting percentage duo like Curry and Thompson and exchanging them for two points for KD is a better thing. At some point your team will need that defense and rebounding and scoring becomes less efficient because your already scoring at a high rate.

Either way, I'm sure the Cavs will be there waiting for them. Lets just go ahead and put the ring on their fingers again, because that's all the country did for the last year and we all see how that turned out.

I like our chances when Lebron is an underdog. It just fuels the fire.

It's interesting to see the Mavericks pick up so many pieces of the 2nd-tier GSW talent.

Riiiiiiiiiiight.
“I was just a fan in that moment, so I didn’t think about the (tweet’s) ramifications,” Curry said in an interview with People Magazine. “I regret the way that I voiced how hurt I was. I felt hurt for (Steph), and I didn’t mean to offend anybody. Obviously, what I wrote is not what I think about what he does for a living.”

Adam Silver isn't digging the Durant to GSW move.

GS better win the title this year because it's becoming more and more likely that there's a lockout/strike or the salary cap is going to break that team up.
