Because there is no football on Wednesday nights, I typically watch my YouTube feed. Like Twitter, I do my best to curate it so I get a wide variety of topics from tech to gaming to movie news to history to reaction stuff and so on. That has created my random rant for today.
Last night, a video featuring a dude named Stirling Cooper, a former porn star (straight porn, so Gordo wouldn't know him), came up and he was discussing the negative side of porn. His post porn schtick is pushing positive sexual habits and lifestyles for men.
Anyway, he covered the typical stuff you'd expect or heard about like the high death rate, illegal/abusive material making it to "legit" sites, women vs men in porn, how easy it is for a woman to ruin a man and no repercussions for lying, and how porn rewires your brain without you realizing it. All had very interesting tidbits (some I knew, some I didn't):
-Suicide - No shocker that there is a high suicide rate among porn stars
-Drug use is the biggest killer.
-Murder is also higher than you would think.
-Accidental deaths - He believes there is a correlation between "carelessness" and willingness to do porn as some male porn stars died in accidents. I think his logic is a bit flawed as there were only 3 deaths in his example. However, I do agree there is a negative personality trait that people who do porn have in common. Kind of like how men who are self described "breast men" are statistically far more likely to cheat than other men.
-The average career for a female in porn is 2-4 years. They usually end up quitting the business, not vice versa.
-Male stars do about 15 years.
-The average monthly earning for an OF model is $200.
-Another non-shocker, but any porn becomes something you cannot escape from and follows you around for life ruining your career and family hopes, and also negatively affecting your kids.
-Most porn stars live in poverty.
-A large number of women don't go seeking porn, but end up directed to it by unscrupulous agents who just want to make money off the women.
-When PornHub cleaned its site of videos without age verification and consent verification, their video count dropped from 52M to 5.2M.
-2 female porn stars, after years of working in the industry, randomly accused 2 male stars of sexual assault. They said they didn't enjoy themselves, made it known, were essentially raped, and so on. Turns out, it was just a personal grudge. What saved the 2 men is behind the scenes footage that just happened to have been filmed on those sets. Without that footage the 2 guys would have been permanently booted from the industry. The women faced zero repercussions for their false accusations. (Imagine being so oppressed that you can falsely accuse people of heinous crimes with no repercussions.)
-Remember a few months back I wondered in the images thread why cuckholds seemed to be such a big thing these days? Turns out that watching another man have sex has become a kink for people who watch tons of porn. People are training themselves to be cucks without knowing because they're usually watching a man have sex with a woman they desire. Something comedian Jim Norton speculated on years and years ago while discussing German and Japanese scat porn, paraphrasing, "I wonder how many people watched this as a joke and it became their thing?" This also tracks with the very real trend of young men having erectile difficulties.
Point being, those of us who prefer lesbian porn aren't cucks.
