League of Legends - Trumped up Rock, Paper, Scissors
Got to work this morning and discovered that I had left LoL running on my test machine, and I was logged in all night. Sorry Cake, I wasn't ignoring you.

So I might buy Darius out of the gate. He's another AD melee champ, but go read his skills. They just sound OP, especially that ult.

Team composition. . . .
I was shopping for a ranged AP character. Someone I can lane with Nasus. Using Urgot doesn't work because we are both AD. Looking through the mage list, most of them and squishy nukers. Looking for an attack speed AP character. Kept coming up with Teemo and Heimer. So, any suggestions?
Also, this made me think about how we have seemed to somewhat lock ourselves into roles. Should I be learning another ranged AP character when we already have some? Fiora is doing well in the junlge. Noc does well in the jungle (if I can say so myself). Stranger does well in the jungle. I think we have more mid champs than just Ziggs.
So, when we want/need to put Nasus into the fight, who should lane with him? On TT, Teemo should be down there and I'd go Noc. On SR, again, Teemo can go and I can take jungle. Or Stranger can and I'd take top solo. etc. I have been rooting for Fiora in the jungle because I thought we'd benefit from another jungler and Leisher needed the practice. Is it time to mix things up again? So we don't get locked into a small set of champs that we can use? I must admit, that as much as I've played any champ, I'm still constantly learning stuff. Noc is probably the champ I've played most and just the other week or so, I learned that my spell shield will block many ult/spells. Yes, it is a spell shield. But I thought it just protected me from the affects. As in, the slow/stun/etc. But it blocks the damage too. However, it does NOT block area of affect. So when Lux lines up her ult, I can pop my shield and take no damage from it. With Ziggs, I'm practicing jumping over walls with my satchel. Urgot, learning to use flash to escape after a swap. Etc. So, I don't mind continuing with known champs. Just curious if we are falling back into a 'fixed champ' mode.

i think that Nasus is best served solo top. That way he can farm up that Q and get super beefy late game when he is a beast.
And i agree that we might be getting stuck in roles again, but its taken me a while and a few champions to get used to doing solo top. I wouldn't mind trying other rolls again either.

If you want Nasus to help push a lane, he needs to lane with a ranged carry.
2 tanks vs. 2 well-played ranged carries = tanks lose the lane, as evidenced the other night with Nasus/Nautilus vs. that new centaur guy and.... some other aggressive ranged guy that I forget. They kept pushing us back, and eventually had us stuck under our turret and they would push up with minions and hit the turret with us right there, afraid to get in range.
I think Nasus NEEDS some sort of ranged support, if facing 2 ranged enemies. Otherwise he will get pushed right out of the farming.

What? I prefer to lane solo, I just never make an issue of it.Cakedaddy wrote:I would like to see Nasus top solo as well. But Gordon seems afraid to be left alone. Also, when you say ranged carry, do you mean any ranged damage dealer, or do you mean carry? Carries are AD characters that can do damage to the turrets. Seems like we end up AD heavy if we put a carry with him.
I mean someone who can help Nasus carry the lane. Does damage, both to champs and turrets.

Lastnight i was messing around with a support Nautilus build. i Liked it alot, i rearranged my masteries, runes and item build to accomodate for the fact that i wouldn't get any farm. In fact there was a couple of games that i had only about 15-20 minion kills and was able to still have a good enought build and be on the same level as everyone else and be a factor in the game.
I would just camp out in the bottom brush and just harrass the hell outta whoever would get outta position and my carry would hit them whenever i landed my anchor. It seemed to work really well with ranged carries, i played with Ashe, Varus and Miss Fortune and every time they got tons of CS and we won the lane.
So i was thinking maybe if we wanted to try something different we could go with Nasus top and whoever wants to do a ranged carry on bottom with me we could do that.

						Support Nautilus was pretty good.
The new map changes coming Tuesday look great..
However, they changed ranked mode...you no longer get to play the free champions. Time to spend some IP. Try to prioritize your purchases. Buy the champions we play before buying other champions.
For example, I plan on buying Nautilus now, ditto for Urgot.
Oh, and normal ranked mode in now out until we get our fifth.

I might sit out tonight. Not sure yet. Still at work with no sign that I'll be leaving anytime soon.
If I don't make it tonight, I'll make getting online Thursday a priority.
