I started playing Bioshock again, tonight. I was sorta-stuck where you meet the first Big Daddy. I'm about an hour past that, now.
Enjoying it more than I did a couple months ago.... I'm really not big into FPS games where you also have these... I guess, role-playing elements.
I want the biggest decision in my FPS games to be which gun do I drop in order to pick up this new, bigger gun. I'm simple like that.

For me it depends on how complicated the RPG elements are and how much it affects gameplay. I don't mind small decisions, but when those decisions drastically affect gameplay later, I hate it. Why? Usually by the time you've made your first couple of decisions, you get to a point where you realize you should've made different decisions.
The one thing I hate most in all of gaming is the "collect items, then craft things" type of shit you find in a lot of Japanese style RPGs. If I wanted to do that shit I'd buy SimInventor or SimBlacksmith.
It's fine in stuff like MMOs, but when you're playing a single player RPG it has no place.

HI-larious. Although the red spy should have a blue mask up there, would have made a better image.
I may have to consider dressing up as an Engie for Halloween.

I saw a fireman-water-hose-toy in the toddler toy section at WalMart that would make an excellent Medic prop...

I wonder how hard it is to make your own inflatables. Some creative rubber work, and some CO2 cartridges, and you could have dispensers and sentries that actually go up much like in the game.

Where did the comic strip come from?
Is that an accurate picture of the FNF folks?
There are a few not pictured that I wish were like the husband and wife combo NOT the Buzzards whose names I'm forgetting...and Tactical Nuke because for some reason I think his voice makes him sound like he's a radio DJ. Considering he's usually logging on late in the evening/morning, I might be onto something there.

I think we're in the wrong time zone Gordon.
The FNF server started to fill up with all the familiar faces late. Even when you logged a bunch of regulars popped on.
They were all talking about playing Meridian, which is something I want to do as well. Next time we're on with an admin, I'm going to push that issue.
Did you notice there were more idiot medics on last night? Nowhere near as disruptive as last time though.

Gah, Saturday nights... every server I was on, the impossibly-ultra-l33t snipers were there, and everyone was complaining about engineers not getting teleporters up when no one was covering the engineers when they would try to build teleporters.

Yeah, I hate it when douches complain about the Engie not having built up stuff when the team isn't even trying to keep the opponents of their ass so they can do it.
