Next time nobody is on FNF, look for a server that runs Toy Box 24/7. Check out that map. It has some flaws, but it's pretty cool to play from time to time. With instant spawn, I cannot imagine how badly a team would have to play to lose, so it's really just an endless stalemate.

Yeah, but how did they ever push your team back that far? And why didn't someone go medic and charge up an uber? Whenever your spawn is being camped, an uber charge is the best way to clear it out.

Black Mesa is terrible. It's a great concept, but teamwork is a whole different animal there. It actually promotes the lone wolf stuff. It's a good concept, but point A is super quick for any class to capture, which not only throws off any team's momentum, but also extends the time on the map...every time it's captured which was about once a minute. It's also impossible to defend.
Gordo and TPR, you guys were gone before the fireworks between Bone and DNC Nightmare. DNC was accusing Bone of cheating. I've seen both online a lot, so it was rather interesting to see them argue about weapon damage.
I saw a lot of weird things tonight like the first two maps, in which just about every time I was killed it was a single shot/explosion. Of course, it was balanced out later during Warpath and Black Mesa when I was dominating and stunned at some of the situations I was surviving.
We need to lock down DTMangle one evening and do our own play testing. Just try different classes and see what it takes for them to kill each other.

I disagree, I think it's a map where a win requires more coordination. The points cap fast, yes, so you have to take them one immediately after the other to secure a win. FNF sucked tonight. Stacked teams for 80% of the night and the FNF people didn't do anything about it. One team owning the team in minutes over and over and over again. Yahoo.
Only good time was when I was "on fire" for about 10 minutes as sniper. I was hitting some good shots. I took the 'no chance of winning' opportunity to play with the engineer. My inexperience wasn't going to affect anything. So, I have a few more minutes logged as engineer. Most of the night was spent as the medic. More than once, I'd uber someone, only to have them retreat away from the action. Only to return to it after the uber wore off.

So Mr. awesome KR-Shadow-something tells me that I am stupid for being in the sewers, and I am absolutely worthless for being there. I checked the score, and we both had 6 kills. Ok.
At that point I just said, "Fuck these guys" and played sniper the rest of the night.
I won't tolerate too many more nights like last night.

You can't blame FNF for your bad experience tonight. Stacked teams happen on every server. Some nights a person or team just gets their ass kicked. Not everyone can win every game. What does that have to do with the server or the FNF admins? Should they have stepped in to make everything even?
Yes, there are moments when I think they should have the mod that can reshuffle teams, but those times are few and far between. Essentially, it's when a team gets rolled, and I mean losing each round within a minute or two, and the map is scheduled to continue on for the next 20 minutes or whatever. But I've only experienced that a handful of times. Usually, the losing team gets it's act together pretty quickly or folks quit and teams get auto-balanced and the domination stops pretty rapidly. OR the map ends and teams get reshuffled in when players join the next map.
A few nights ago I joined a team that was getting rolled badly. I joined a map late and figured teams would shuffle in the map change, but they didn't. We were getting destroyed in multiple rounds on Turbine, but starting fighting back a little harder each round. Once that map ended, we went to Warpath and had a fantastic back and forth battle between two well matched teams.
My point being that being on rolled teams 80% of the night is either quite an exaggeration or just incredibly bad luck.

Abusive talk is against their rules. Go discuss that shit on the FNF forums and let them deal with it. That Shadow guy is not a member there, but a few of his clan mates are and they seem like decent people. I agree with you in that I cannot stand dipshits who tell you how to play the game, but this happens on every server in every game ever made both online and offline. Hell, there is an entire industry of sports writers whose job it is to write large columns about how players or coaches can do their jobs better.
I have no idea what that means. You'll play on all the mythical server that has no dipshits on it ever? You're going to give up gaming all together knowing that such things occur in EVERY multiplayer game?
I like FNF because there are folks who play there with skill, they do have a little community, and they genuinely are trying to put together a good server free of morons.
Anyone with half an IQ point, however, should realize that's it's impossible to prevent dipshits from coming to the server, or to prevent someone from playing while they're pissy, or to prevent a team from getting rolled, etc. To expect otherwise is delusional on the level of believing Obama is going to "change" things.
As Gordon knows, I play other servers quite often and I see all the shit you two are bitching about and more. Rolled teams, abusive teammates, cursing like sailors, horrible players, non-existent teamwork, lone wolves, voice spamming, team griefing, etc.
As far as I can tell, the only solution would be to setup our own server, find 24 people to play every night that we know and enjoy playing with, and then sit back and enjoy it as...teams get rolled, people have bad nights, people complain about one another, etc...

This is exactly what happened. And the "abuse/cursing" and shit is exactly what FNF doesn't tolerate, so when no one is around to enforce the rules it is more noticeable than if you had another server with 20 junior high kids singing their favorite rap song.
If this server stops enforcing the cursing rule, and if they don't handle stacked teams better than it was handled last night (it was not handled at all), then I won't tolerate it and I'll just hit other random servers that have a population and a low ping, because FNF will be no different from the rest at that point.

The only FNF "regular" I recognized jast night was FNF Jones, and that was the problem. Bunch of random idiots on the server instead of the regulars.
Oh - I also got disconnected from the server for the first time, last night. Don't know what's up with that, but it was pretty much a blessing. I was sick of the stacked teams with no end in sight. I don't know if I got kicked off, or it was just a random thing. I wasn't saying anything so I know it wasn't a "language" thing.

The FNF server is easily the best server we've played on in terms of player skill, teamwork, and friendliness. That's not even a contest.

My criticism of Cake's comments were meant to be a bit more pointed as what he said could be said of every server for every game ever. I'm not sure what he has against FNF, but he's complained about it since the first day he joined us there. Maybe he'll fill us in at some point.

I don't expect FNF to be in the game every night moderating the retards. There is no good answer, here. Some night it will suck and it is my god given right to bitch about it. It might be a good restaurant but it still serves the occasional shit sandwich, and I will not eat it and then talk about how yummy it is.
