There is a mode of the game called "draft pick" where each team pics champs 1-2 at a time, each able to counter the other team's champs.

I want to see you build your spreadsheet that shows which champ perfectly defeats the other so you can win more than 60% of your games right at draft time. You, personally. I want to see you go Platinum just by using that big ol' brain of yours better than everyone else.
Achievement unlocked: Get Gordon's Goat.

It's just not my type of game. I'm not an action game person, that's all.

Also heavily dependent upon the humans you have controlling them. Need to factor that in.

Yeah, I had a feeling you'd figure that. I didn't know how to be any more casual while disagreeing with your simplistic assessment of the genre, though.

Trust me, people talk about who-counters-who all the time, but depending on the player and the map the spreadsheet only matters a small part of the time. Less than half, I would venture to say.

It is Rock Paper Scissors, though. Except that each champ can be played on one of a few ways, so sometimes a champ might be a Rock but someone else turns that same champ into Scissors. So it's really RPS to the 79 1/3rd power.

I admitted it was a "trumped up" version of RPS, there's the up trumping.

Yeah but by that definition there is nothing in the universe that isn't a trumped up version of RPS.

So I guess you're right.

You'd need a pure twitch game for that.

For games that have a good balance between multiple choices of class - or some other element that has similar mechanics - this is a correct statement.

Sadly lots of games fail to have a good balance. Also many games don't have multiple choices of class. For those games this would not be true.

Of course, at that point, perhaps the weapons become the RPS.

LOL is LARPS. live action rock paper scissors.

I think physics is just a trumped up version of rock paper scissors, featuring motion, force, and gravity.

Which beats which in that scenario?

Gravity is a force.

Instead of RSP, wouldn't it be SWEMG (Strong, Weak, Electro-Magnetic, Gravimetric)? I mean, motion comes about because of force, one source of which could be gravity.

Okay. Five is fine. But the question remains: if this is a form of RSP, then these items can be ranked in terms of which one beats which in a fight. Go.

You'd need different power rankings based on the distance between you and the dude throwing the other force. If you're too far away, strong doesn't beat anything. But if you move closer together, then strong starts to beat everything. We need proximity-based RPS to describe physics correctly. Even then, you can combine forces which is not something RPS accounts for. Does a pair paper-scissors beat a rock? Does a pair of rock-scissors beat paper?

just won my last 3 games in a row in my provisional matches to get silver 5, right where I ended last season. Played a great Kog Ad, good Shyvana top and good Ziggs mid.. not my normal rolls but I'm happy with my performance.

Remember to be careful. You can drop levels now. In other words, you can go from Silver to Bronze.
