Because you just want to do ARAM. Which is fine. You should play what you like. It has never bothered me to play with randoms. At this point, I'm hoping the team gets back on and we start playing. And that's what I'm preparing for. That's why I just play SR. That's what we play as a team. ARAM does very little for preparing you for real games. I just want to become a better player of the game. Every time I launch, it's me practicing for when we all start playing again. And the best practice is going to be in SR games. That's why I'm playing them.

So, you might see it as me ignoring you or picking other people over you. But in reality, it is me trying to become a better player. For you. Everything is for you.

No, when someone else is on i want to duo, at the very least. I didn't want to that one night, but every night since then I am ready. but you have a new team now, so I am just going to go fuck myself.

For like 2 weeks straight, all we did was aram.

The other night you kept launching aram games. I commented on it. you didn't respond.

Because in my heart, I knew you wanted to play aram. So I launched them. For you.

I have learned a lot from aram games, but i am willing to branch out now.

When you aren't busy with your new team, that is.

Those were all good games.

The two we play the most currently are Gas Guzzlers Extreme and FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage, both of which would probably fit your preferences.

Forza? Bah, that's not racing, that's train simulator for cars.

How the data was collected: How this data was collected:
"The League of Legends client has a feature that lets you view the match history of other players. Some folks on the Internet reverse engineered the way the client talks to the LoL servers, so the data can be scraped programmatically. The data contains a field for lag, rounded to the nearest millisecond."

By the way, i'm not done. Yes, it will be a little harder than before but i will be making time to get on. I'm a gamer and my wife knows i'm a gamer.

Now that my boy is getting into a bit of a routine it looks like week nights after 9 should be pretty good for me. Weekends should be ok too, but long 8 hour sessions might be hard without some breaks in there to feed or change a shitty diaper. I do plan on being on tonight, so if anyone is on i'll play.

Could be just dumb-asses who are slacking off at workplaces with good connections.

My average ping is close to 90. Looks like that's typical.

One night we played against a team on which 14 was their highest ping (you used to be able to see everyones ping). We suspect that was the dev team at Riot playing on their own servers.

We beat them, and soon after that a bunch of changes went in that crippled our play style, which at the time was to turtle heavy if we were losing. Complete coincidence.

the low pings are usually for the west coast players, Riot's servers are located in Cali so most of them players get around a 20 ping, that is if you have a decent provider ofcourse.

If you check out the forums there are alot of people that are begging for an east coast server to accomodate us, but i don't think its that much of an issue myself. I'm always right at 75-80 ping

There are occasional lag spikes that are noticeable, but typically I don't see any delay (that I am aware of... that might account for the "3500 points of damage hit me instantaneously" moments) in the gameplay.

My problem is that I have the fingers of a 40 year old and the peripheral nervous system of an 80 year old.

This is true. Although, I never specified "what". Hint: I wasn't talking about a human.

Now, can we talk LoL?

I thought about doing this private message style, but I've had conversations with a few folks and I want to get their opinions public, AND potentially grab the interest of some forum dwellers who aren't playing LoL...

This is going to be a wall of text, so please allow me my long windedness.

I've been pondering LoL a ton lately, and here's where I'm at:
I don't want to stop playing LoL, but I want to move on from LoL.

Let me explain.

I LOVE LoL. Love it. Still watch videos. Still keep up on news. Etc. However, for three years, it's been all we do. I've skipped exercising for it. Skipped family time. Watched entire evenings disappear in the blink of an eye countless times. Skipped sleep for it. Fallen WAY behind on TV/movie viewing and book reading. I have a Steam list of 200 games that need to be played. Etc.

Seriously, I've had Skyrim for 5 months and haven't touched it. GTAV for 2 months and haven't touched it.

I needed the short break I took, and honestly, I'm enjoying it. However, I'm dying to get back.

That worries me. While I absolutely love the game, I want to do other things. I don't want to auto log in every night at 9:30, get 3 games in, and go to bed 4-6 days a week. It's fun, but at the same time, not.

Now before anyone debates this, I can simply not play as much. And believe me, if I get completely countered here, I will do just that...knowing I'll play as much as I did before.

Besides LoL being an absolute blast to play, I think about our ultimate objective, which is to be a competitive team. I think we have been, and would be again. That being said, none of us are getting any younger, and the rules keep changing. At some point, one has to accept that they'll never be at Worlds, so why play all the time? What more are we looking to accomplish besides have fun and do our best?

TRUE! But I want other experiences too!

And that's where I'm going with this...

I know for a fact that a little variation is what more than just I desire. I want to also play other games. I want to not feel like I can't even get into Steam for fear of being pestered until I play LoL. And you must admit, that's where we were for quite some time.

Currently, I own the following multiplayer games on Steam that I've never had a chance to play:
The Ship
Magicka
Dungeon Defenders
Awesomenauts
Monaco
Torchlight II (played some, but it IS multi capable)

Multi games I want to try, but don't own:
Planetary Annihilation
Payday
Payday 2

Multi games I'd like to revisit or never got a chance to really play:
Total Annihilation
Supreme Commander
Left 4 Dead
Left 4 Dead 2
BL2

So yeah, please understand that in no way am I sitting here saying let's end our multi gaming. I'm saying let's branch out and start playing some other games.

Let's get more of our forum folks involved. I believe TPR plays Monaco. Awesomenauts is apparently a 3 on 3 game. (I own 3 copies for some reason.) Point is we've got a pool of gamers to draw upon right here, but they don't play LoL.

I know there are games on that list I'm forgetting or not thinking of or that we don't know is out there or will be out there.

LoL is awesome. Will be awesome. But is an incredible time sink.

I will be FINE continuing to play it, and I will have a ball as I've done before. However, I'd rather get into some new games. Try new things. Make new memories. Get new people in the mix. Etc.

LoL will always be there, but we're missing out on lots of cheap new gaming experiences that seem to hit Steam daily. Are we married to LoL for the long haul or can we start seeing other games?

Thoughts?

(BTW, the more I read this post, the more I recognize it as a cry for help to break my LoL addiction.)

Payday
Payday 2
Left 4 Dead
Left 4 Dead 2
BL2

I could pick these up fairly quickly as they're just point and shoot. Any type of strategy game requires a learning curve. Haven't tried Payday yet and still have some BL2 to finish (maybe the second season of DLC, too).

I have SupCom loaded and me and my son multi from time to time.

We could do some research and see if Serious Sam 3 ever got their multi shit unfucked.
