Having finally discarded the thin veneer of pretension that the Constitution matters via completely and publicly gutting the first amendment, the government then goes on to quickly violating the rest during the following few years. Soon after the idea that elections have a place in the political process is also dropped and the nearly 250 year experimentation with democracy in the U.S. comes to an end.
