Not a "match" if you cannot match. They're admitting it.

Agree. They have to know that. I wonder what their argument is going to be? "It's not fair because we don't own a streaming platform!"

They have Max! lololololoollolollloolllol

1) Amazon said they would cross-promote on their NFL broadcasts. Warner has no NFL.
2) Amazon guaranteed their streaming platform wouldn't fall below 80 million subscribers.

WBD just had some bad financial news this week too. Netflix should swoop in and buy them. They get that whole library, kill a competitor, and get the DC universe, which Netflix has wanted into the Superhero game.

NFLX Market cap: $272 Bn.
WBD market cap: $17.25 Bn
Didn't realize they were that far different. NFLX could just swallow them up.

WBD has Harry Potter, DC, Adult Swim, and Cartoon Network.
The people in charge of Netflix are stupid for not already going after it.

				First, that's fucked up.
Second, should there be a law? Does freedom of speech allow you to have a sex doll made of someone without their permission?
Third, it would have been hilarious if the sex doll was just Chewbacca.
Fourth, the sex doll is hotter, smarter, and has a better personality.

Something about using other people's images and likeness, but not sure that applies in private? I dunno.

NBA considering tournament format for All-Star game.
I don't care much about the NBA, but this is an interesting concept.

The NBA has a 3 point problem.
3s are being taken in record numbers and all the teams look the same.
They need to change the game back to the physical low post stuff from the 80s/90s.

Lebron is delulu or being a dad.
Context: My kids will do the splits or a flip or some shit, and I'll say, "I can do that." They always tell me to do it, to which I reply, "I choose not to."
To be fair, I'm sure he thinks he can. So did Brady. So did many athletes. Big Ben just posted today that his arm is still good. Father Time is undefeated.

Adam Silver still talking about how they're going to fix the NBA.
By all accounts, the league is boring as hell to watch. It's just become a 3 point contest. Every team runs essentially the same offense.

I thought the NBA's been boring my whole life, I don't get it. I love college basketball, so it's not the sport itself.
OTOH, I've never been able to enjoy college football as much as pro football. Dunno.

Basketball was at its peak in the 80s.
You have 5% of the league that could shoot from outside and most of the game took place in the paint. It was physical, there was tons of tension, and you got to know the players.
Now everyone just shoots threes and they're all interchangeable. There are no dominating personalities. There's no Jordan, Bird, Magic, Barkley, Kareem, Dikembe, etc. Sure, there's old man Lebron, but his act wore thin years ago. Hell, I'd argue Curry is the most popular player and he's supposedly not well liked among players.
They're all overpaid babies, who throw tantrums, switch teams endlessly, shoot their mouths off about things that turn off fans, get away with crimes that normal folks can't, etc.
I truly think professional athletes overall are wearing thin on Americans struggling to stay above water financially.

Because it's in your blind spot? You are a UNC fan. What are they good at and what do they suck at?

I grew up a Wake Forest fan, so yeah, football was even worse at the college level. But the Skins were good!

Luka Doncic traded to the Lakers.
Doncic is, at worst, the 4th best player in the NBA. In the trade, the Mavericks received an injury prone player 6 years older and a first round pick, which will be pretty useless as Doncic will be in his prime.
Every talking head and outlet has already graded this as an A for the Lakers and an F for the Mavericks.
But wait, it gets worse... No other teams had any idea that Doncic was available. The Mavericks offered their best player for pennies on the dollar to one team. They didn't even bother to see if other teams would have paid more, and they would have gladly.
As Ryan Russilo said, "This is a fireable trade."
Some are already saying it's the worst trade in NBA history, and that's saying something.

"I believe that defense wins championships," Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison told ESPN's Tim MacMahon, explaining his motivation to deal Doncic for Davis. "I believe that getting an All-Defensive center and an All-NBA player with a defensive mindset gives us a better chance. We're built to win now and in the future."
Dallas, 26-24, 9th in the conference.
Lakers 28-19, 5th in the conference.
