Most transparent administration ever.

It's the final countdown.
House leaders had hoped to hold a vote on the bill early Friday afternoon, but postponed it amid fears that they lacked votes for passage.

US's rockin' health care, letting people die without telling them valuable info.
That's because hospitals don't have a legal obligation to tell patients about the presence of pathogens - even antibiotic- resistant bacteria

That's my favorite news story of the day (although I first heard it last night).

Here's the Washington Post breaking down how Obama's administration has been transparent, but not as transparent as it thinks. That article's a bit biased. They seem to do a lot of "blame W" and don't even mention the new FOIA rule change.

What's more interesting to me is who's reporting this rule change. A quick Google search shows USA Today, FOX, right wing outlets, but where is CNN, MSNBC, and other left leaning news agencies? They must be too busy not being biased at all to report on something that's painting a negative light on Obama's administration.

And hey look, the FOIA rules just happen to be changing when the Dems top candidate for 2016 is under fire over emails.

Can we "modify the behavior" of the EPA into fucking off?

It's one of Obama's favorite "Executive Order" sources. So no, the EPA is safe for now.

More.
The Obama administration—often mocked for its promise that it would be the most transparent administration in history—said that in 91 percent of cases the government released all or part of the documents requested.
...
But the AP said the 91 percent figure doesn’t include instances where the document was lost, when the requester couldn’t or wouldn’t pay for copies, or when the document request was “determined to be improper under the law,” and is lower than any other year Obama has been in office.

Cook those books.

Wait, if they're leaving out all the times they didn't release documents then what is that other 9%?

Those are the times they sent someone out to "disappear" the person making the request.

universal voting would “counteract money more than anything.”

I'd love to hear that chain of logic.

This story make me think about Saddam Hussein's elections and how he'd win 100% of the vote.

I mean, it's not a huge leap from "You must vote" to "You must vote for X".

Bah! The last thing we need is more uninformed voters just checking a party ticket so they don't get fined. Fuck that.

And until there's a None of the Above option I absolutely refuse to participate by voting for candidates I don't like.

Why wouldn't establishment powers want more low information voters?

I've been saying that while pointing at the American education system for years.
