Here's how I saw that fight:
Gordon hiding in weeds waiting for opportunity, Leisher farming minions. All good.
Jax jumps past Gordon in weeds on to Leisher in lane. Jax kicks the shit out of Ashe at this level, Leisher MUST pull back. Less than a second later, Leisher sees Kha coming from above. Kha attacks Ashe, Jax is stunned. Leisher flashes away as Kha turns to focus Gordon. Gordon finishes his dump doing 250 of 750 points of damage and retreats up into the jungle. Leisher immediately responds by heading up into jungle as well. By the time Gordon makes it into Ashe's range, he's very hurt almost dead. I responded late to the fight as no one called anything out. I noticed stuff in the mini map.
In my opinion, as soon as Jax made a move 1v2, you KNOW he's got back up. Had Leisher stayed, the combined attack from Jax and Kha would have killed him. Jax is dodging Ashe's basic attacks and then stuns. And, looking at the video again:
Ryze stuns Jax and dumps, including dropping ignite. Does a total of 250 points of damage to Jax. Very much lower than the 350 points you think you are doing. Kha and Jax turn on Ryze and Ryze is running away. Jax and Kha chase. They do not land their attacks until Ryze crosses the middle buff area thing. And that's when Ashe is getting back into the fight. In less than 4 seconds, Ryze is dead and that's including Ryze dropping another stun. They still caught and killed.
The biggest problem for us is people not knowing how any exchange is going to go. Before any fight starts, we should be able to say in our heads "I'm going to do X amount of damage to him, he's going to do Y amount to me". And when X is greater than Y, you attack. Too many times, an engagement starts with "I'm not sure how this is going to turn out, but I hope it works out better for me, but if it doesn't, I'll just start running away and escape".
