Seriously though, they're millionaires because of a game and not stuck in a cubicle somewhere. God did give them all skills and opportunity. Have you never seen the bipartisan prayers after games, during serious injuries, etc.?

I'm more of a Judgement City guy.

But to continue defending athletes for having the gall to believe in God... Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses. We're not all born to be Michael Jordan (sorry people who think equality of outcome is achievable!). It's up to a person to fulfill their own potential and find their own happiness. That's true whether you believe in a divine plan or just nature. Point being, there's no hate, it just is. Larry Bird is the most unathletic human being ever, but he succeeded through sheer will. Most homeless people got there through bad choices. Stephen Hawking sure did a lot despite disadvantages. And so on.

We could do this forever, so let me ask you: How many times have you been dead? How many times have you met God or walked around the nothingness of no existence? Athletes thanking God is probably third from the bottom on the list of problems in the world. Right below the lack of sexy nuns.

I'm really trying to talk myself into McCarthy. Here's where I'm at:
-He is good with QBs and part of his pitch had to do with Will Howard's potential.
-He's about to turn 63, so he's not going to be there long.
-He's from Pittsburgh and this is his dream job. Something to be said for that.
-The offense will absolutely be improved. How could it not be?

I'm not happy in the slightest, but let's see who he hires.

I won't buy a "Fire McCarthy" shirt until I see the product on the field. I will absolutely love the "Sell the team" chants Art Rooney's going to hear at the draft though.

If it makes you feel any better, 2 local Browns reporters thought they should've been interviewing McCarthy. I wasn't so hot to the idea tho..

I'm guessing the Browns make a signing early next week. They got their second Rooney rule candidate out of the way, Anthony Lynn. Looks like some combination of Jim Schwartz and either Udinski or Sheelhause. Who knows which one would be the head coach though.

Yeah, I wanted Shula or Sheelhause.

I'm hopeful the Steelers and McCarthy bring in his successor, like Sheelhause.

Udinski removed himself from consideration for the Browns job. Now the 4th coach to do so, i wonder why???

Browns are interviewing Sheelhause today, so i'd think they probably offer him the coaching job with Shwartz as the DC.

I think because it's a bad job. Not because of Cleveland, but because of Haslam and Berry.

Sanders is named as a Pro Bowl replacement for Maye.

The Pro Bowl already had zero credibility, and now it has less.

Udinski wants the Bills job.

So we started with 7 QBs, Sanders was not one (3 selections, 4 alternates). Out of 16. So, at best, he was 8th on the list. For all we know, he's the only one who said he'd show up
