Riot employee CertainlyT talking about nerfs to certain champs (like AP Yi and AP Trynd):
Players have no inherent right in this game to playstyles that do not meaningfully engage their opponent in a way that can be responded to.
Nice to see Riot take that stance.

Interesting article on the early game AD builds. I know we have had many discussions on what our prefrences are.
The big thing i take away from this is. Build AD early and attack speed late. Not sure what runes you guys were using for ADC but i was pretty sure at one time someone was running all attack speed runes, prolly not the best idea.

So I should be able to be on tonight.

I'll be on tonight aswell. And the all Attack speed was me, changed it though. It helped, but I'm using a different page now that I like a bit better. I know a lot of others were doing the all attack speed thing too a long while back, thats where I got the idea from.

Tough shit. The world needs more monuments to Teemo.
As for AS, you read too much into the guy's conclusions. He was mostly talking items. I still use all AS runes, but only on Teemo. I changed my ADCs simply for farming, as damage is obviously more valuable than AS early game. However, mid-late game 19 or so damage doesn't even enter the same realm as 38% AS. It's missed, but not that much if I can get the farm.
Anyway, to suggest AS should always be last is a bit wrong.
As an example:
Two ADCs face off, one has IE, the other a BT and Bersearker Greaves, oh and he also has all AS runes. Guess who wins. I know because I've been on both sides of that fight. Guy number 2 is hitting twice as fast and has heal. It's no contest.
I can give you more examples, but I'm typing on an iPad in a theater (play practice), and it sucks to type on.
There are too many variables and situations to declare one way is always better than another. That's what is great about this game, you can build to fit your needs, strategy, strength, etc.

If you are an expert at last hitting minions, you don't need AD runes. But if you aren't, you need it. Yes, late game, blah blah blah. But when you can't get the CS early game, you opponent is beating you to IE, etc, etc and then you are in trouble and your early attack speed doesn't matter.
So, as long as your CS doesn't suffer from AS runes, then it's all cool.

i finally got to check out League Replay lastnight. I'm a little dissapointed that the fog of war isn't lifted and you can't fastforward, rewind or slowdown any of the action. It's hard to see whats really going on if you can't do any of that stuff. I hope that Riot can get their official replay system going cause that would be nice. But it is cool none-the-less.
By the way, very good work on coming back that last game. I can't remember one time where we decided to just go push middle and get into a big ole team fight. They had a good team that woulda destroyed us in a teamfight. We played our game of hit and run and controlled all parts of the map. Eventhough they prolly coulda ended it when we got aced in the lategame, we took advantage of them when they didn't .
And so far my count on the double jungle record is 4-1. Not bad.

I agree, the double jungle is going unusually well. Even when I and we fed like motherfuckers last night.

Make sure you have the latest version of replay. It works fine for me. No fog of war, ff, rw, pause, speed control, etc. Just like it was before that patch that broke it.
They had their tri-bush warded. That's how they knew we were there. Watching Ramus, we had time to kill his red before he got there. As we started his red, he was finishing up his wolves. Then everyone beelined to their red to gank us. We can avoid this in the future by taking a path that avoids their tri-bush.
Scooty was getting frustrated about stuff last night and was on the verge of causing issues. . . Keep that in check. Don't get mad at us because we don't know that Ren can tank a ton of damage and dish it out too. We've seen him in what, 3 games? 2? We don't know him yet. You telling us he can still doesn't give us a feel for what he can do. We take it one way and over estimate you and charge in when you intend to retreat. When we see him enough, we'll understand better when to run and when to join you. And making comments like "I didn't know Rammus was a squishy" doesn't help. Comments like "Yep, you're going to wait for me to die before joining" don't help either. Call a target, or fall back if one is not called. I didn't go in because I would have been facing two VERY bursty champs with 75% health. It was a 2 v 2 at that moment with them able to do far more damage than I/we could at that moment. It was incorrect to engage. It was also incorrect for Stranger to keep jungling instead of joining the fight. But I recognized that, and held back. You needed to as well. Count on your team for support, but be more aware of when it's not coming. Yes, the whole fight could have been handled differently by all parties involved. And pointing out mistakes at the moment is 100% acceptable. But constructive is better than snarky. You called me out for letting you die, as if I MADE you engage them right then, in a very combative and snarky way. I pointed out Strangers mistake in a much more constructive way (in my opinion). And I shouldn't have engaged at all either. But when I have someone getting snarky and pissing me off, I make bad calls too. So, in summary, point out when the wrong target is being focused, call out when someone is jungling too much, etc. But do it in a non-combative, constructive tone. Other than that, Scooty is doing well against bottom lane in most of the games. I feed good about him being in that position.
Ranked: Leisher needs to learn a new mid champ? Gordon needs a secondary top champ. This is assuming we are going to continue with this strategy and go ranked. If not, then never mind. I'm going to bring Rengar into some games. I'm thinking Skarner could be a good secondary for Stranger? Or maybe Nunu or Anivia? I'm thinking about champs with stuns/slows. Rammus might even be cool. Up to you though. Or Udyr? I can't remember who all you've played now.
I like the dual jungle. We've never gotten good at learning who counters who, when it's safe to engage the enemy in a team fight, how to initiate a team fight, how to react to an initiation by the enemy in a team fight, etc. Playing dual jungle, we only fight fights we know we can win. When we have an obvious advantage. I think this is way better for us given our overall skill level as a team.

Scooty was getting frustrated about stuff last night and was on the verge of causing issues. . . Keep that in check.
Yeah, I noticed. The furious typing after a few of his deaths was a pretty clear indication that he was mildly raging.
Scooty, please allow me to give you my perspective on a four specific moments that stood out to me last night regarding you:
1. We're well into the game. Our junglers are already roaming, and have died to a 4 v 2 battle. Kat got 2 of those kills. I'm in mid against Kat, Gordo is at top against Akali, and Scooty is at bot against whomever was down there. Anyway, the point is that the game didn't just begin, we were a few minutes into the laning phase, and I was doing fine. This Kat was NOT very good at bursting and harassing. That's when I heard Scooty say he was coming mid. I thought, "Ok...he must be roaming, maybe we'll get a kill." Then I hear him start talking about how someone needs to get to bot or that turret is going down, which it does go down with nobody playing defense.
Scooty, I had NO IDEA why you were coming mid. None. I realize we had discussed it on the forum, BUT we never said it's an automatic switch. Nor was it stated that only you and I must switch. So I guess what I didn't understand is why didn't you ask in comms if I wanted to do the switch? I hadn't died, wasn't getting overly harassed, and really didn't need it at the time. On top of that, why do you think the proper switch would've been with you that game? You were bot against two people. Is that really the best spot for squishy Teemo? If a switch would have needed to be made that game, it needed to happen IMMEDIATELY, not a few minutes into the laning phase (long enough for your turret to be easily knocked over with a single push), and the switch should have sent me top vs Akali, not bot for a 1v2. You and Singed could have then figured out who would be best to face Kat or the 1v2.
Anyway, the point is that as a team from the loading screen until "Minions have spawned" we need to discuss any switches that need to occur and do it then. Obviously, adjustments can be made later, but they need to be discussed, not assumed.
2. This was post the dragon fiasco, which I'll talk about later. You were a bit too aggressive going after one of them. I was saying, pull back, pull back, and you ignored me only to have 2 more jump out kill you, and kill me. My fault for sticking around when I knew it was a bad move, but at the same time, more than anyone else on the team, you tend to lose focus when you smell blood. The thing that annoyed me though was that I heard you huff after you died. I immediately took that as somehow it was my fault that you led us into a 3v2.
3. The last one, we were retreating from a push and Cake said, "don't leave Teemo". You turned and got killed while me and...Singed? kept running and lived. That was appreciated, but I hope you weren't expecting us to engage with you. If that's the case, you should have kept running. We were low health/mana, and had three chasing with full health/mana. (It's why we were all running.) It was either one of us dies or all three. You could have left me behind, and I wouldn't have bitched about it.
That being said, Scooty was dead on about that dragon fight in the second game. I heard Cake say we were baiting them, but I never heard that communicated until he said it after 2-3 of us had died. We handled that moment badly.
And that's something I noticed last night, our comms get shitty in games when we're not rolling. We need to relax a bit more. Put less sarcasm into our comments. Discuss what we're doing, whether it's engaging, retreating, or baiting.
When we're winning we sound like the damn videos of the U.S. military running ops. When we're losing, it's lots of dead air between snarky comments. Stop it.
Leisher needs to learn a new mid champ?
Agreed. I was actually giving this thought last night. However, I don't know who. I could absolutely do that easy thing and bring out Ez, MF, or Varus mid. The team does lack an AD if Scooty isn't playing one. Those three who be easy learns because I have lots of experience with two of them, and the other is one I like playing.
However, if I go AP, who would you guys like to see? LeBlanc has the high mobility I like. Anivia has massive damage potential, and that ridiculous 6 second CD on his ult, which would be huge during team fights. (I'd have to buy Anivia, but own LeBlanc.) How about Ziggs? Again, I'd need to save up for him, but during his free week, I tried him, and loved him.
I like dual jungle too, but I feel you underestimate us as a normal meta team. We're fine in team fights when they're done on our terms.

Health bars are getting changed.
Also, they're toying with a new system for bans. If folks are toxic, instead of a ban, and them playing a smurf account, they're going to force them to play in matches with positive players. They'll have limited chat ability, and if they misbehave they get banned. Sounds like these games will be mandatory if they want their account back.

So they are going to punish good players by forcing them to play with an asshole?
Posted: Fri Feb 22, 2013 1:21 pm

yeah that would be kinda shitty.. they should just IP address ban people that are toxic that way they can't smurf.

Putting in one asshole with a group of otherwise well-adjusted folk will have one of two outcomes:
1) asshole learns to develop social skills
2) asshole learns nothing, everyone else pulls the choke chain on his very short leash.
