League of Legends - Trumped up Rock, Paper, Scissors
Theo seems to be trying to pull his head out of the clouds. Last night, (in between songs) he proposed something that I thought was pretty good. Initiating with Sherelia's. Give us the speed to dive to Cait, etc. We just didn't focus her once we did. She dove in the bushes, and instead of diving in after her, many of us changed targets. She made a really good move doing that. Because even if we all stayed focused, it was still a good amount of time that we were just running through their team getting chewed up. But anyway, good call on his part.
And speaking of odd pairs/team comps. How about this:
AP Teemo and Soraka bottom
Varus (ranged adc) mid
Fiddle jungle
Normal top
Theory: Sorka's Q lowers enemies' magic resist and is pretty spamable. Teemo is an AP champ doing more damage now. Fiddle is an AP champ who's passive lowers enemies' magic resist. So, three AP champs that lower resist and do heavy AP damage. Plus, they have electrolytes.

looks like they are patching for season 3 today. Bad thing is that the servers are going down at 5:00 and might be down for 6 hours. So maybe no League tonight, hopefully they can get it done sooner...

Scooty's carry was much better the last two games. And if he can keep that up, I think things will start to turn around. Right now, I'm still entering fights assuming he's not there and pulling out early (ya, I said it). Then seeing he's there chewing them up and turn to get back in it. So, unfortunately, since he's been carry, I've been conditioned to think he's not there. I have to relearn that he IS there and things will get better. It helps Teemo turn up the heat too because he's lasting longer given that we are actually killing enemies and lessening their damage output. So, hopefully this trend continues.
Also, not sure if me playing Rengar had anything to do with anything. So many games as Naut, I'm chasing someone and just can't quite kill them. Rengar has the damage output to finish. We lose the tank though, obviously. But he's a really good assassin. I can take out there lone squishies very fast and be out before they can respond. Didn't work so well against Gangplank though. He was really good. Rengar fails against tanky teams though. He's kind of like Veigar. REALLY high damage output for about 1.5 seconds. If the enemy survives. . . I can be in trouble. Late game, I'm hitting like a carry though and have much better results after the initial jump.
The last two games, we lost because we don't know how to play tactically any more. We are on the defense so much that when we DO get the upper hand, we forget what to do with it. Gordon was right the other night when he said "We have to start pushing. Just holding them isn't going to do anything." We've forgotten how to push. We just keep trying to push mid and take out defended turrets. We get a bunch that way, but often, we give them right back when they kill all of us.
With people getting settled in their new roles, I'm hoping things keep improving.

We should try a game or two of ranked tonight just to see how the new season 3 system works.
Also on that note, what would our number 1 lineup and team comp look like? We have been trying lots of different things lately, so would we think of putting Leisher back at AD or keep him in mid where he has been for a while. How do things change if we have Scooty vs. Theo? should be something we should start thinking about. I would really like to see us do ranked games more often now that season 3 is here. We are just about as ready as ever now that we have 6 consistent players and have expanded our roster pretty good as of late.

I will be on tonight, but it probably won't be until 10-11.
Tomorrow is questionable. I'll either be on all night or not at all. Depends on if my in-laws are having a get together or not.

Current bans from ranked games:
Blitz
Amumu
Shen
Malphite
100% of the games feature those 4. Next I see:
Darius
Evelyn
Khazix
Kat
Rarely do I see any other champ being banned.
If we have first pick, we might be able to sneak a Malph or Shen into a game. But since none of us really play them, we won't be able to make better use of them than our current champ favorites.
I'm all for ranked games. Most of my solo queue is ranked now. Only way to learn about ranked games is by playing ranked games. I see all kinds of team comps. More often than not, it comes down to how well the team plays together. I've seen heavy tank teams take out the meta with ease. Same with heavy AP teams. I was on a squishy hard hitting team once and we did pretty well. But, we had one really bad player and couldn't carry them. So, team comp still falls short when the team can't play well together. Focus the correct targets in the correct order for the win.
That being said, I don't know what our best team comp would be. It would be the one that allows us to play as a team the easiest/best. And I don't know what that one looks like. Don't know it till it's there and we are playing it! But then, it always looks just like the comp we have when we lose. So, I don't know!
Scooty still doesn't have a solid role. Yes he's been carry the last few night, but Leisher, even me, would be a stronger carry. Theo is about the same mid or top. I think I'm the same mid or jungle. Gordon is strongest in jungle with GP with Singed top as second. I say that because I was impressed with his GP jungling, but am never blown away by his singed play. Maybe it's because I've become desensitized by seeing his awesomeness for so long that it's not longer awesome. I don't know. But my pick puts Gordon in Jungle, Theo at top, Stranger support, me mid and Leisher carry. Second would be Scooty Carry, me jungle, Leisher mid, stranger support, Theo top (sorry Gordon!), but would take Gordon top too.
HOWEVER, Theo is very inconsistent at top. He either has an outstanding game, or completely gives them the game. Gordon is a VERY stable average top. Never blows it away, never gives it away. So, I would gamble on the outstanding game from Theo to help us get an edge over the enemy.

I have played 3 more ranked games after that train wreck of a first game. They were all normal. I've been jungling noc instead of Rengar. I'm currently ranked 2nd in my group. I have 62 of the required 100 points to be eligible for promotion. Then I have to win 2 out of the next 3 games, or something like that. Not sure what happens if you don't. I'm currently on a hot streak due to 3 wins in a row. Getting about 20 points per game. Rumor has it, the points you earn/lose are based on how well you did that game. Some people get 20 points for a win, some get 7. Some people lose 20 points with a loss, some lose 7. My first game was a loss, but I had 0 points and still had 0 points after the loss.

yeah, i got 22 points for a win i got earlier today. We stomped them and got a surrender at 20. I'm not sure how they could tell how good or bad you do in a game tho. KDA ratio would make for some serious trolling and as a support your always gonna have more deaths than kills, unless they count kills and assists vs deaths, i dunno.

WORLD CHAMPIONS!!

						I'll be on tonight.
There's a new "Equalize" feature on the PBE.
I believe it works by allowing a winning team to vote to give better turrets and inhibitors to a team they're beating.
Seems insulting.
