Edit: people on that thread on saying it's a "Trojan" - but that's what the cheating groups have dubbed it, no idea. It is apparently very very effective.
Edit 1: Looks it can take in-game screenshots of your view of the game client? and is using that to identify if you are using a cheating program or not - ~4500 banned so far (none of this is confirmed)
Edit 2: Garry is actively talking to people complaining about getting banned for hacking in that thread, it is gold, great read so far.

Rust - A thread for dying
I was a legit player, a hacker made me hack. I don't play games for fun, I play to win. If people are hacking, I need a way to deal with them. I come from COD, and Smite, two very competitive games. I play to be the best. 350+ hours on Rust in 3 1/2 weeks.

I never noticed before the shadow in the background of the main menu screen. My current connection error gives me a clear non-blurred view of it, and I think I know what the final "zombie" models will be.

Reading that thread about the cheating, I'm now pretty sure that the group that did the home invasion on us had cheaters in it.

I don't think that's quite fair. TheCatt isn't approaching them like a ... well, like a cat playing with an injured mouse. He doesn't have that same air of snobbish superiority that the pk's tend to have.
Here's it's more like the mouse that has learned how to gun down the cat.

Fucked around on a 35ish pop newly wiped server tonight while watching the snow fall.
First run into a civ building found a pistol with no mods and 8 bullets. Further lucked onto an idiot breaking into a shack with a wooden door. He turned around just as I emptied four bullets into him. Great loot.
An excellent start!
