A supersonic M-16 round has a max range of 3600m, or about 2 and a quarter miles. At the equator the earth has a circumference of about 25k miles. Figure middle latitudes of the United States, approximately half way up the northern equator, and we're talking about maybe 18k miles (not going to do the math). 2 miles out of 18k is so close to zero change in elevation due to curvature that it might as well be zero.

Is the truck just driving really fast, then they speed the video back up?
Edit: Yeah, they speed it as soon as the truck leaves the frame, then slow it again on the bounce.
I saw the sideways toaster thing on Reddit a few weeks ago, but don't most toasters squeeze the bread once it is depressed into the toaster? The bars would squish into the melted cheese.
