I find that the best way to beat kennen in team fights is to not all group for his ult but stay close enough so that you dont get zoned off. Also try not to fight in tight spaces like in the jungle. People that can jump out of his ult are also good vs him such as corkie, ez, and other people with blinks/jumps. In other words, dont get cought as a group.

Ultra epic come back tonight. We were down 5 kills to 22. 15 minutes later, we forced a surrender.

They had a diamond Lee Sin that was owning top and farming me in my jungle like it was his job. He was snowballing out of control. Then we slowed down. Started calling plays WAY better. Then we stole baron. We had it warded, watched, baited then aced them while I smite sniped the baron. That was the turning point. It was by no means over for them at that point. We were still way behind. But we carried that momentum forward and they never recovered.

Best part, Lee was trash talking us.

Here's the file:

Just watched it in fast forward.

You can see us slowly wake up.

I think the real turning point was when we made a solid stand in bottom lane. We lost the fight, but you could see that we were starting to get it together. REALLY big difference in team response the second half of the game compared to first half.

First half, there was very late, or no response to team mates in trouble. Second half, responding to each other was a much bigger priority. And you could see it when Rifle was being chased toward our top lane. Gordon and I responded first, Scooty and Stranger I think recalled and entered the fight from base. But Gordon and I engaged, even though Rifle had escaped. But we provided enough CC that Rifle flashed back in and got a kill, then followed with another quick one. At this point, we were grouped and they were coming in one at a time or in pairs and we cleaned them up. We dominated the game after that.

So, you could see a definite momentum shift from them to us about mid way through the 30 minute game.

Also i checked that Lee Sins profile and he is on a Challenger 1 5v5 team! And in case you didn't know, there can only be 100 people or teams in Challenger at any one time, so thats a rare feat. He was really really good, somehow his team let him down tho. And that team he was on last night no longer exists, so we made another team disband!

Ugh, today I am reminded why I hate solo queue. I am glad I had a good run up to my getting ranked, but now I may be done with that... again.

Bummer. I was seeing improvements in your play coming from it. And I know how you like to please me.

And enjoy Bronze II while it lasts. Until you are REALLY good and can pretty much win 1v5, you will lose games. I was bronze 3, down to bronze 5 to bronze 4 to 5 to 3 and in a series for 2 down to 4 again.

I have officially stopped caring about my solo rank (well, 90% not caring anyway). Too many times I'm in a role I can't play, and the people in my role can't play either. So I lose and can't do anything about it. But, now I know that role/champ a little better and am that much better for my team.

Suffering solo queue is the ONLY way to get better.

I'm going to start calling plays again. Rifle. You are fired. :-) You are too blood thirsty and leave the objectives too often.

Dragon is a priority again.

We are desperately lacking in ADC and support.

My jungling is WAY off. I feel like I need to change champs to try to wake it up. I dunno. I'm going more support like with wards and stuff. Going to pick up pink eye more often as well. And I haven't been able to play as often as in the past and miss way too many skill shots.

Play some more Jarvan again, easy to play and you have a good record with him. Or maybe even Vi or Nocturne. I think you've gotten to comfortable with Sej and your skillshots prolly diminished.

Or I wouldn't mind running jungle sometimes if you wanna change things up. I still run a pretty mean Naut and Hec, and could always do a Skarner or Udyr. Just a thought, but im always support when im on.

I would agree that of late, our matches seem to focus champ kills over objectives.

One thing that was absolutely hammered home last weekend during the pro games is how Cloud 9 does something every time they get an advantage after killing an enemy champ. They immediately press their 5v4 or whatever to get an objective. That might mean a tower or dragon, but they're not just walking away. They're taking more, and it simply snowballs...

Cake, if you're going to call games, I would recommend checking out a few C9 games since they're steamrolling the pros, and watch how they capitalize on everything. In fact, I'd honestly ask you how you can call plays if you don't watch some pro games. We need someone calling plays who really gets overall strategy, and can keep us on point. IMHO, this is one of our team's biggest weaknesses.

Dragon is a priority again.

This is sooooooo critical to the support. (Ditto for towers)

We are desperately lacking in ADC and support.

Agreed 100%.

I have been rather frustrated lately because unless Stranger is on, I simply cannot go ADC.

This, this, this, this!!! i agree 200% i have watched ALOT and i mean alot of the LCS spring and summer splits. C9 has absolutley hammered the competition and they focus on an objective any time they have even a 1 man advantage. They weren't in the spring split, but they have turned the North American scene upside down since they have shown. objectives > kills.

I remember when i was playing LoL that almost everyone had no clue about overall strategy and every match was made about kills. Time and time again my team won only because I was the only one on the map taking down the objectives, even though my kill ratio was crap because that wasn't what I was there for. I was crap at LoL, but just paying attention to the end goal of the game was enough to even that out.

Don't be those guys.

Just thought of this and didn't want to forget again. If anyone wants the 10k bonus RP on their AmEx LoL card, let me know. I can put your card info into my account and pay 'me' the $20. Then you can pay me back the $22 ($1.45 QB fee and $.55 for my time, effort, and awesomeness). Or $21.45 if you are a cheap bastard. But no paypal! They hit you with fees and then I'm losing money and I can't afford that. Money order is perfect cause your check will probably bounce.

Just kidding with payment options. I can direct deposit to your account if you want.

Rifle: MUST stop kill stealing. Yes, kill securing is one thing. But when there are 4 of us and one of them and they are stunned/CCed, you can let it go.

When you snowball and start farming the bronze players, it's funny when we are winning. But when we are losing, it's hurting us too much. Yes, there are the occasional games (5/22 come back) where you over farming helps us, but, we are still in bronze. Have not had a good showing in a B3 promo series, etc. Playing this way isn't going to get us out of bronze, let alone work in silver/gold/plat/chall. We have to start functioning as a proper team. Scooty said he was going all attack speed/crit chance in the hopes of stealing a kill every once in a while. Told him to stop modding his build to counter our poor team play.

We are all trying to address our weaknesses and become better players. This is your post. :-)

Your challenge, or whatever, is:

From now on, the only enemy champ you are aloud to kill is the enemy mid champ. Gank bottom/top, counter jungle and fight, etc. But do NOT kill anyone but their mid. Even if it's a 1v1 at their blue and you can kill their jungler! Our ADCs are claiming they can't do their job cause they aren't getting kills. Leave the kills for them. If they don't secure them, or make good use of them, then we know we need to address that. But as long as they don't get the option to kill, then they can use the excuse "ya I'm doing bad, cause I can't get any kills!".

Break out of the "must kill no matter what the cost" rut. Play Plat!!

And I was thinking. . . A funny name for our team could be "4 Bronze and a Platinum".
