Avocado is bullshit. It takes a HUGE amount to cause discomfort to a dog or cat(t). Only birds and horses are in the "might die from it range." The choking hazard caused by the pit, however, is legit.
Saw a 50# dog chew through an entire avocado. Was fine. It's listed as a significant ingredient in some foods/treats.
