House Majority Leader Eric Cantor just tweeted: “It just keeps getting worse. I am scheduling a vote for next week on the full repeal of #Obamacare.”
I've got a better chance of winning the lottery and getting some cash from that Nigerian prince that keeps e-mailing me.

FBI general counsel Andrew Weissmann, according to the New York Times, was quick to note in a statement that the updated policies would not "create any new legal surveillance authority."
...
An earlier proposal would have required companies that offer Internet-based communication to build a wiretapping capacity into their services, but a revised proposal would simply levy fines on companies that do not comply with wiretap orders, the Times reports.
Yep. No more surveillance authority. Just more authority to punish those that don't help you encroach on everyone's privacy. Go fuck yourself, Andrew, go fuck yourself, FBI, and go fuck yourself, White House.

If Cantor's got any balls, then when this comes up he'll ignore the idiotic "rules" that allow a mere threat of a filibuster to stop business and just push through the vote anyway. He might pull it off that way, if the Dems aren't fast enough to realize what is happening and actually get going with a real traditional filibuster.
That agreement about a threat of a filibuster being the same as an actual filibuster is about the stupidest thing Congress ever did, which is saying something. It essentially makes all votes into 2/3rd votes.

You know something is behind it if Yahoo is willing to post a negative article about this administration.

Nixon still looks like a fucking bridge troll that should be giving shit to billy goats or something.
EDIT: Still better than Jimmy Carter's picture that looks like someone silly-puttied a high school chess club president's face onto a generic Navy dress photo.

I'm guessing it's his Academy pic, so....yeah pretty much:
n 1941, he graduated as class valedictorian of his tiny high school....Carter was admitted to Annapolis in 1943 and graduated in the top ten percent of his class in August 1946, just after the end of the war.

These records potentially reveal communications with confidential sources across all of the newsgathering activities undertaken by the AP during a two-month period...
Well, yeah, I'm sure that's the point. There's undoubtedly some sort of leak or something that someone is investigating, and figured gathering up all the AP phone records would be one way to get at it.

So I did some digging, and as it turns out, it's pretty accurate.
During my research, I found this article that basically chastises these agencies for not revealing their ties to this, or any, administration.

I doubt if this is something that is specific to the Obama administration. It's probably more just what you'd expect given that the country is really run by the "Cathedral": a decentralized network of Brahmins in the universities, press, and government. That's who these people are. Important, Smart, Good People who come from good families and go to the right schools, and go on to Change The World. So naturally they work in the press or government.
I doubt if this is something that is specific to the Obama administration.
Yeah, I know. The article talks about other people's ties to the Bush admin, and honestly, who can't simply assume that folks know each other? Odds are politicians are going to know people in the media.
My point is that certain ties should be disclosed. A good example of this is how MSN used to disclose that they were owned by Microsoft whenever they did a report on Microsoft or other tech issues.

Who doesn't know that the "MicroSoft Network" is owned by "MicroSoft?"

It's confusing. One wonders if it's the software company or some potential company that makes tiny memory foam pillows for gerbils or something.

If only we lived in a world where that didn't need to be explained.
Although...
Microsoft has backed out of that partnership, so I don't know what that stands for anymore.

Sorry, I was talking about MSNBC, Microsoft's joint venture with NBC.
My bad, although it doesn't affect the point.
Hell, ask most people what NBC stand for, and I'll bet 50% or more don't know.
