These are the types of weather events that I'll bet make Troy happy he's out West now.

I wish I was. Though I'm going to be holding out in the Northeast, who can theoretically whether the snowpocalpyse better than the South!

Been in Philadelphia for last few weeks on a patent trial. Ends tomorrow, then need to get to NYC Saturday so I don't get stuck here, and then finish out another engagement next week in Manhattan.

Have a lie flat seat booked to whisk me back to the West Coast next Thursday. Planned my logistics pretty well, might be kind of fun to be snowed in at a hotel in NYC for a few days whipping PPT slides.

That's a great meme.

My wife told me last night he was leaving Texas, and I said, "Holy shit, Texas is fucked."

Last night wasn't so bad. Mostly sleet, which is fine. This evening predicted to be 4-5 hours of freezing rain, 0.25" to 0.50" of ice during that time will be the real test.

We got 5-8 inches of snow, which is continuing to fall until 6. Gives road crews 12 hours to clear everything for the morning commute. Plenty of time.

Things are melting, sunny and 36-38 today. Shoveled the ice. Salted the paths.

They are now calling for 2-6" of snow NEXT weekend.

About to a foot in Manhattan. Pretty neat on the street and sidewalks. I went to the local law firm's office mid blizzard yesterday morning.... and the intense cold exploded a pipe above their elevator banks. There was waterfall coming out of the elevators. It was like something out of a wild disaster movie.

But because it's a critical case and lawyers are insane, we stayed all night and made the janitor let us in and out of the freight elevator. 36 hours of work this road trip and i'm donnnne. No way I'm doing anything work related in February. Hold the baby time.

Story of your life, huh? :D

Seriously though, elevation differences? How'd you guys avoid the heavy stuff?

Not elevation, timing of the moisture from the east and the cold from the west. Basically the moisture went around us to the west, and east. I guess it split up or something.

I find it interesting that it all stayed exactly within your state. Chem trails?

(bright side mode) Congrats on having all 4 seasons this year!

At least shoveling it wasn't very hard. Like 10 minutes for 2 sidewalks + driveway.
