I think because it's a bad job. Not because of Cleveland, but because of Haslam and Berry.
I don't understand this. Top 5 defense, pro bowl QB, a GM that nailed last years draft, and an owner that will spare no expense whatsoever all in a division that has been flipped on its head this off season. What's there not to like about the Browns????
Also, looking like good ole Jimmy caused Sheelhause to give pause about the job. They could've sealed the deal yesterday but nothing happened. Then word comes out the the Bills had an interview with him last night.
So now it looks like the only candidates left that the Browns have interviewed left are Schwartz and Monken. I'm guessing now that Jim has the best chance at being the next coach. But who the hell is going to run the offense???
Schwartz probably should have been the guy since the beginning. He makes the most sense right now in this latest phase of your rebuild...
The Browns and Steelers have ownership problems.
Haslam is an idiot who mettles too much and gives Berry way too much power and leeway.
Rooney is an idiot who is happy with mediocrity. The Steelers' facilities are always ranked at the bottom of lists by the players and Rooney does nothing about it. He's cheap and, from all accounts, an arrogant asshole. He's not his dad or grandfather.

Turns out, I really didn't want to grow up. I am, in fact, a ToysRUs kid.

They're going to have another losing season next year, so who will they blame then?

Figure out who voted against him and remove their right to vote.
This was the biggest no brainer induction for any HC. If they can't get this right, what can they get right?
And I say that as someone who despised Belichick and the Patriots.

No other explanation. This is an embarrassment for the HOF, and they need to do something about it.

BTW, I have a new horror theory about the Steelers. McCarthy was hired as a stop gap until Tomlin is ready to come back to coaching...

that's the only reason i can think why they would hire him.
Plus, it's got to piss off Schwartz.

Yep, word is coming out that Schwartz wants out and i don't blame him. So basically, you traded Stefanski and Schwartz for Monken... Make it make sense.
