I think a lot of these guys came to realize that voting no was probably career suicide.

Woman lives in Florida, has her house in Florida, ran for the Senate in Idaho 2 years ago (voting from Florida in that election), is registered as a real estate agent in Florida, her last sales were all in Florida, but claims to live in NC (has a UPS post box in Charlotte as her 'address'). Her cars are registered in Florida.

Maybe this is for the moron thread, but JFC.Under questioning from the elections board members, Dupre said she doesn’t have a North Carolina driver’s license. She added that she also never got an Idaho driver’s license when she claimed her residence there and ran for Senate in 2024.
“It's always based in Florida,” she said. “I've always kept my Florida license.”
State law requires people who move to North Carolina to get a new license within 60 days but Dupre said someone at the DMV told her it would take a year for her to get a license. She has not attempted to make an appointment, she said.

I hate this shit.
Every city, town, state, and federal representative should live in the _____ they represent. No exceptions. It's fine to vacation elsewhere and maintain residences elsewhere, but the majority of your time should be the place you were elected to represent. Not doing so should disqualify you from running for office there, and be grounds to have you removed from office.
I'd go so far as to say there should be a requirement that the person's primary resident must have been the place in question for 3 years prior.
This same thing just happened in CA last year. I forget the whole story, it's here somewhere, but Newsome appointed a woman (or endorsed her?) to fill a seat that opened up (Was it the one that died? Feinstein?). The problem was that the woman lived in Maryland and had never even lived in CA or something like that.
There are tons of local government scandals about this very thing too. It's happen a lot here in the local D stronghold where city officials often live in the suburbs and not the city proper. It gives them financial and personal incentive to put their neighborhood's interests over that of the city they represent.

Per noted liberals, the CATO institute, most politically motivated deaths in the US are: 1) Right-wing, 2) Islamic, 3) Left-wing.

I have seen that or one very similar before. I don't remember all the arguments that tear apart their results, but there were several. However, without getting into a debate about the validity of these numbers or even how useless they are, I'll give you two better reponses:
1. Cool. Now do socialism and communism.
2. Does the left do anything better than the right?
