You probably can't do it, so don't even try.

Jammers rule. Look better everywhere you're swimming, than the board shorts that make you look like a college kid trying to look cool.

Nope. But plan on starting again, now that the kid is away.

Switched to jammers from board shorts. I either dropped 19 seconds or I dropped about 69 seconds. The latter seems more correct. My Swim 2 dropped enough distance that I wasn't sure if I swam 900 or 950 today. I'd really like to get back to at least a 30 minute mile.
Today was down to 15:22. Which makes it seem like the previous one must have been 15:47 (69 seconds drop) from jammer switch. Close to my 15:00 immediate goal.

What's your take on fingers together/fingers open? I've seen a couple "good form" vids that say it doesn't matter, and I tend to not worry about cupping my hands, but I feel like my lap times should be faster than they are.

I keep my fingers slightly loose 1) to reduce effort/strain on them 2) When I learned, I was told that the extra space would move more water.

I keep my fingers tight for re-entry into the water, then release a little on the pull.

This guy says what I thought, except a little further apart than I've been doing.

14:52! Dropped nearly 1 second per length of the pool, to be just under 1 yd/second for a 900 yards.

Sadly, today might be my last swim in the neighborhood pool. Water getting cooooold, and it closes after this weekend.

If you pee in it, it warms up briefly.

Pool peeing is one of my "never evers." I think it's nasty, I think people who do it are nasty, and I think they should be banned for life and sent to australia.

Well, last swam 3 weeks ago. Developed golfers elbow and a rotator cuff tendonitis. Even with 3 weeks off, still in lots of pain depending on the motion. 4 weeks or so more off prescribed by the doctor

Swam 350 meters last week, 400 meters today. Hopefully back at it.
