Want to play Dungeons and Dragons 5E?
Is there another night in the week that would work for everyone? 11pm end makes it easy to play during the week.
Only thing I've come up with so far is:
1. Find a gypsy with a 'cure'.
2. Convince Koban that he's stuck in this world and he needs to stick with us if he wants out. Sure, he can abandon the cause and live out his twilight in this land. But is that really what he wants?
3. Koban stops being a bitch and tells Alex what needs to happen instead of making him guess!

I'm sure sleeping with the DM doesn't hurt her case either.
I could fit in a night here and there, but doing it consistently would be tough. I've got three kids, all in different things. Dance, Robotics, Plays, Swimming, Track, etc. Not to mention a wife, a job, and school.
The party knows where that is if someone other than Koban was listening to the gypsy.
That's dumb. Ismark is running. The gypsy caravan travels and imports from somewhere. Plus, they're heading to Ravenloft next. He has options. He's not "stuck" anywhere.
So is RPing out the window? Should we just start Friday with Koban calming explaining the steps you need to take? C'Mon!!!!
Koban is livid and acting impulsively at the moment. Meanwhile, you've got a fighter, who caused this mess, wallowing in self misery and a Druid who seems pretty a-ok with aging 15 years instantly. Who knows how our Paladin is going to handle things or what has happened to him? You're the calm head. You know there's a possible cure out there. Alex has to step in and mediate. That's what I thought you were attempting to do.
We really should have finished our conversation before calling it a night Friday. I think then everyone would have a better handle on what's happening and what our next steps should/will be.

So i guess i should give my recount of my actions for the night.
right when we were about the start Troy tells me I've got a journal entry that i need to read. It read:
I was a little worried at this point that everyone thought i had drank another fifth of whiskey and was just acting like a dumbass ala week 1. But i had to RP my character and i wasn't going to change it, and it was fun.
When we got back to town, Koban, Alex and Zelda were chatting about how crazy my dumbass was being and were starting to make plans on how they wanted to handle the situation. Eventually they came up with pouring holy water on me. But they never told Mordigan they were going to try and help him they just grabbed him and drunk ass Donavich comes out and attempts to do this as i'm being held. Mordigan, not really knowing what the hell is going on punches donavich and shoves Koban to the ground. Remember, i was playing that Mordigan had no clue what was going on, he just knew that he was hearing laughing and something was definitely not right.
When the demon leaves Mordigan's body, he was just as shocked as everyone else, in fact he was mortified that thing had just came out of him. The demon screams at them three and they are instantly aged. Mordigan who's still pissed at the drunk ass bumbling Donavich that happens to be standing right next to him, puts a boot to his chest knocking him down and walks away to try and piece together what the hell just happened.
Mordigan, who you all should know from previous nights of playing struggles with things he's seen and heard in his dreams his whole life, has never experienced anything like, he's all sorts of mind fucked right now. He knows he's caused great harm on others that he cares about and yet knows there is nothing he can do about it. Koban tries picking his pocket and Mordigan just grabs his hand and says he sorry. He buys a scroll from a gypsy and puts it into Alex's pocket, as a sign of remorse but knowing full well that doesn't make up for anything. He never got the chance to speak with Zelda so he's not quite sure how she is feeling about all of this.

I knew right away it was from the eyes that were taken from the burial sight. This was dropped in my lap and i had no planning on how i wanted to go about RPing this so i just winged it. When we finally got to fight Laslo, i believe his name was, and he was asking for one person to be his shadow servant i figured, well i'm possessed and should be acting irrationally i RP'd that Mordigan was drawn to Laslo and it was somehow sounding like a good idea, in his mind.. Thus began the fight when i told his two headed mut to shut its mouth. You have been possessed by a ghost. An old woman in a white burial dress haunts the corners of your vision.
You can feel her inside your brain. Every now and then you swear you can hear her cackle as warps your thoughts and twists your mind.
You will treat others with great distrust and act irrationally until the possession can be ended.

I heard you mention something about a cure, but I didn't hear it from Troy. There was a lot of commotion and I didn't hear everything that was said by everyone. I missed that part.
I'm not saying don't RP. I'm saying don't RP a damn woman who wants the man the GUESS what she wants him to do instead of TELLING him what she wants him to do!
And I think calling 'scene' right at that moment was a bit premature as well. Don't know what Troy had going on in real life that he felt he couldn't wait another 5-10 minutes so we could hash this out! It's going to be hard to get back into character and pick up at that moment. THANKS TROY!!!

Honestly, that thought never occurred to me.
You didn't punch Donavich. Koban was able to make your punch miss. Also, I thought we tried to get through to you, but you were resisting talking? I'm probably wrong, but I thought that's why things escalated as rapidly as they did.
You were fantastic in your role Friday. Everything played out exactly as it should have.
It was when we were walking with the merchant to the inn. I believe you, Zelda, and I were all present for that information. It also happens to be where the werebears are going and where our minotaur and friends went.
First of all, stop being so sexist. Secondly, as explained, Koban is livid and not thinking straight at the moment. (Or would you rather not allow me to RP and just type you the answer here?) Maybe Alex is more upset than you realize if he's incapable of calming someone else down. (Have you selected your personality traits yet?) Zelda is in the same boat as me, and I cannot fathom that she's hunky dory a-ok about it. Mordigan is at the bar sulking. Maybe BeeDee will step in and save the day with a calm head?
I have everything in my head about what Koban wants/needs to move forward, so that won't disappear, but it will be difficult to recapture the emotions. However, that might be a good thing. Time for us to figure out our plans.

When I was recapping the events to my wife, and mentioned that Mordigan was hearing voices, making him do irrational things she said "Holy shit. What was he on? Like mushrooms or something?" She thought I was talking about real life. When I laughed at her, she defended herself by reminding me that he'd had one evening of irrational behavior because of whiskey!

I have to say that of.the character Morigan was secretly possessed, and being controlled by a hostile entity, and he pissed the party off.that bad, then it sounds like Ronnie did a really good job of role.playing that situation.

Cake and I were secreting plotting against him at one point. Not to kill him, but to try and get an upper hand so we could resolve the situation.
I guess I haven't really broken down Koban's views on the evening:
We started off in that ritual room and heard noises. Upon leaving we were "escorted" to the final room where famed DJ Laslo was waiting on us next to a Cerberus (only two headed though). He did a bad guy monologue explaining how he and his shadows were going to take over this land and attack Stroud (sp?). Basically, the gist we were getting was "shadows or vampires". Either way, it was bad and innocent people were being forced to become undead. We offered to work with him, which he was open to, but insisted one of us remain to become a shadow. I explained that we've killed a lot of his shadows as flesh and blood, and thus, wouldn't it make sense to not turn us into shadows, but he disagreed. Being the only flesh and blood guy in sight, it was clear he wanted all the power. Anyway, leaving one person behind was the deal killer, and was what got him killed. On his body we found our very first magic item, a cape. We went to leave the crypt and some big bad shadow said to leave everything behind or they'd get revenge. We all told him to beat feet. The DM implied this was grave robbing, but Koban calls bullshit. This was a cult dedicated to taking over this region and possibly the world. The people to whom the crypt belongs were cult members and ghouls. Nothing we took was ceremonial, but rather personal items from people trying to kill us and take over the world. That means their shit is fair game. I could see them attacking again in the future for revenge, but any instant aging effects will be protested heavily.
Post-crypt Mordigan's insanity was amping up quickly, so Alex, Zelda, and I tried to figure out what was wrong. We figured out he was possessed, and called Dominic to help. He threw holy water on Mordigan who it clearly affected. Mordigan threw a punch at the priest, but Koban deflected it into the ground. Mordigan shoved Koban for saving the priest. Priest boy finally gets an exorcism done on Mordigan, which releases some ghost. The ghost ages Koban and Zelda 15 years and Alex 5. Mordigan has no ill affects and while the three of us are laying there he mocks and half threatens us. That's when two(?) caravans arrived in town. One caravan is in the SW of the city and is a bad bunch including the werebear that killed Zelda's parents. The other is on the East side of town. Koban went to that one looking for a remedy to a disease he contracted from Cerberus and a cure for the aging. While there he met a gypsy who asked if he was an adventurer, if his group had found a lot of loot, and where they were staying. It was about as unsubtle as possible so Koban lied about how much loot they've found and where they were staying. (I had to call BS on the DM who tried to pretend I told her right where we were staying. The rest of the group agreed with me.) Koban did get a measure of revenge on Mordigan when the woman asked for a lock of hair. Koban ran back and got one of Mordigan's and gave it to the woman and told her to do her worst. She hinted that it might be used to track us. Whatever. Koban looks forward to seeing how these people can roam freely at night while everyone else is boarded up...(ok that was a bit out of character)
Koban next talked to the merchant and bought a potion to remove his disease, which he used. The merchant also told Koban, while they walked to the inn, that a gypsy encampment to the west has a sorceress, Eva, that might be able to cure his aging. Koban then tried to steal Mordigan's drugs so he wouldn't use them. He failed, but Mordigan's apology might as well have been a pebble in an ocean. Koban is just getting madder and madder the more Mordigan shuts down, Zelda seems fine with the events, and Alex acts like he should just get over it.
Koban left the inn and saw Ismark and was going to talk to him, but Alex stopped him and they started conversing about the aging issue that has suddenly split the party. And that's where the DM ended the evening.
It was a great night, and now we have tons of stuff to do/resolve.
-Gordon has to do whatever with Ismark/Dominic (or whoever).
-The windmill where the kids are slaves and/or ingredients.
-Zelda's werebear problem
-Night time in Borovia
-Gypsies coming to rob us
-Resolving Ismark and his family
-The gypsy encampment out west for a potential cure to the aging, the werebears, and perhaps another run in with our minotaur friend.
-The shadows also vowed revenge, although they GREATLY outnumbered us and didn't attack for some reason.
-I also believe we're still owed 1-2 random encounters based upon dice rolls during Koban's watch the first night in Borovia and from prior to our arrival.
This is ALL before we even get back into the main story.

If my memory is correct, Ismark is the only one that robbed a grave. He grabbed a ring off the skeleton waking it up. The live skeleton woke two more up by taking their rings. So, we killed live things and took their shit. The last two/three skeletons were preemptive killings because we knew they were dormant hostiles. Not true dead that were buried/laid to rest with their belongings. Anything else we looted (cape), came from someone trying to kill us. Just cause you die in a crypt, doesn't make that your burial place and subject to grave robbing rules!
And technically, Ismark didn't steal from a grave either. Again, those things were dormant hostiles. Also, did we keep the rings?

The aging is a pretty specific ghost thing. Lalso and his faithful weren't ghosts.
I converted the jewelry you guys took from the skeleton room to straight gold pieces. You can convert 25 gold pieces to "bling" if you would prefer Alex to wear some flair.

Shadows are undead, but you were worried about the instant aging thing. That's a special Ghost ability. Shadows do other things - strength drain being one.
P.S. for the next 3 weeks I'm in Philadelphia. Friday at 9 EST is still the plan for game-time. It's my most quiet day onsite.
It sounds like ya'll need to sit down and get some planning in? I'll give a mini write-up tomorrow like usual.

A little off topic here..
But i've wondered a few times how the game would have really been flipped on its head if Mordigan would've become Laslow's shadow agent.

I feel like it would be unfair to do any kind of group planning without having Zelda's input. I think that stuff should be posted on the Roll20 forums so she has a chance to chime in.
Plus it's pretty hard to have any sort of plan because you never know what direction the game is going to take. I know i had a few ideas for last weeks session and that went right out the window in the first minute of gameplay. Hell, none of us could've expected what happened last week to happen, including Troy!
I really think the off-the-cuff playing of the game is what makes it so fun, you can have expectations but that most likely will change. I'm sure Leisher has ideas of what he wants to do and to an extent he can do that, but what happens after that, who knows. I can't wait till friday!
