I remember using a whole can of Raid on the first Black Widow I found in my garage in NC.

If you just put the damn lighter in front, you wouldn't need the entire thing.

I think my thought process was such that I thought maybe I could destroy the entire species if I used enough Raid.

I remember the first time I saw a family of them in our garage.
"Eh, probably won't kill us."
My wife had a different opinion.... I'm pretty sure it drowned before it could have died from the spray.

Fire > Raid. Why? Raid might kill bugs. Fire will for certain.

The venom is not fatal unless you are out in the middle of nowhere for a couple weeks with no one to take care of you. Even then, it won't directly kill you. You don't need antivenin either. Prescription painkillers are plenty. Would still suck for about a week.

I still remember rather vividly the outhouse in rural New Mexico that had several black widows living under the rim of the seat.

"How do you know if there are venomous spiders under the outhouse seat?"

I wonder who won.
Really, they'd all be winners as far as I am concerned.
