Ascension mode coming + new map.

Cool, but still gimmicky.

Just played a game as Shaco. Getting burned out on Vi and Amumu. And that makes me start playing them poorly. Getting tired of Shaco counter jungles so decided to give him a try. Just played one of those "Team Builder" games so I would be guaranteed jungle.

Just went 20/6/10. Owned Yi's jungle. Got more of his buffs than he did. However, the players in the game were horrible. They had a really good Yorik who was really giving us some trouble. But everyone else was not very good. We had a Renekten that only wanted to split push. Would pick a lane, top or bottom, and start pushing the minions until he died. Repeat. Over and over and over. So, my score isn't all that cool because it was like playing just above the AI. The enemies would often stop running, even though they got away from me, and let me score the death blow. Yi would stop to heal and die. So, again, my score is artificially inflated.

However, DAMN does Shaco hit fucking hard. His jungle clearing is super fast and he takes hardly any damage from them. When chasing him, it seems he's invisible forever. When playing as him, it's over in half a second! But I was insta popping Yi and Ashe mid and late game. I could 1v1 Blitz and take about 10% damage. They may have had shitty builds as well letting me do all this damage.

But, one thing is for sure. He's not as hard as I thought he would be. I remember trying him a long time ago and failing big time. Not now. Very straight forward. Not sure if his kit changed or if I've just got a better understanding of things. But ya. Going to be jungling with him more.

Took me a while to get an aram win tonight. I did good to great, didn't have any stinker games and the one when I was.... ummm..... Ezreal (I think) I had 23 kills/9 deaths.... the teams just couldn't get it done.

One game every member of the enemy team had long-range poke.... yeah, all RANDOM. I really with they would get rid of swapping and rerolling. At least make it twice as long to regen rerolls.

Damn, they changed some shit. I got soraka in an aram, and they totally changed her spells and shit. no more mana regen. starcall is a targetable spell. healing someone takes away her health.... soraka seems a lot less support, all of a sudden.

And then in aram they were placing their own turrets where our turrets got destroyed. no idea what was happening there.

Sion got a big boost. Now he can rush you like Hecarim (saw one bypass 2 turrets to kill a guy in a single charge), resurrect like Zilean (saw him not die 4 times one game, like he had guardian angel armor), he's still a tank, and now he does a lot of damage, too.

Apparently there's an updated Summoner's Rift and there are a couple new icons up for grabs for winning on it for the next couple days. I'll be on tonight.

In ARAM there's a "Poro King" mode... you throw Poros like snowballs, and... there are rewards and stuff. It's different. Pretty fun.

Played the Poro King mode last night. You pick your own champ in a Blind Pick fashion but play on the ARAM map. The Poro throw has a very long range. If you hit something, you can activate the spell a second time and teleport to the thing you hit. It also does damage. At various times (which I don't think were random, but I don't know the trigger) a Poro King would appear and fight for one side or the other. He's a massive, slow moving poro that fights with your team. I never really saw him doing much as far as damage and stuff. Wasn't a real game changer. However, while he's summoned for your side, you can teleport to him after you res to get back to the fight faster. Instead of running from spawn allllllll the way back to the fight, you zip over to the king really fast.

Also, season. . .' whatever' just started. 4? 5? Anyway, ranks are reset. Jungle got a HUGE re-do. All new jungle items. Many new jungle spawns. The jungle items affect what smite does. One item makes smite slow enemy champs by 50% for 3 seconds. One items makes it do AOE damage. Etc. I don't remember all of them. But smite is not just for crumping NPCs any more. The dragon has a stacking buff system. The first time your team kills him, you get a movement speed buff. Second time, a damage buff, 3rd time, an armor buff, etc. I don't remember the actual buffs. But there are 5 or 6 of them. Killing dragon is even more important now. There are small, wandering jungle minions that do stuff. Drop temporary buffs (one is speed and I don't know who all gets to use it), another one implies someone can see you, but I don't know who. The jungle clearing pattern is different. People don't start with red or blue any more. I did and no one leashed and I damn near died to the blue spawn. Had to recall immediately as I used both (you can only afford 2 health potions at start up now) of my potions to stay alive. Towers are different as they shoot lasers now instead of balls. They will also give you buffs if there are no enemies (champs or minions) around. So, you can pause at an inner turret for a bit and pick up a big armor buff that falls off slowly after you leave the turret.

Just all kinds of changes. Feels like the biggest changes ever. However, the over all core has not changed. You still lane, team fight, etc. But damn. The jungle changes are huge. Really threw junglers a bone in this update.

Summoner's Rift looks a lot better now. And the jungle gives players many more paths to follow with the updates, it should open up more champs you can play in the jungle now too. I like it

Just started playing this again after a 6 month break. And it turns out I'm still really really good at it.

Gordon! Me and Cake are starting up another League of Legends ranked team. Wanted to know if you'd like to play with us? Planning on playing nightly around 8:30pm, and figured we'd hold the Top lane position open for you. What do you think?
